Tragedy Tonight
Rachel Jenkins is a successful architect who has been given the opportunity to design a new office complex. On returning home one day she finds her sister being attacked and in her efforts to stop the man, her building model is destroyed. To make matters worse, it turns out that her sister, an aspiring actress, was simply completing a class exercise with a friend and wasn't being attacked at all. As Rachel tries to re-do her project, her sister is continually completing varying acting exercises - elation, sorrow etc - so when a masked man forces his way into the apartment, she knows exactly what is going on. Or does she?
"The Waiting Game"
Lieutenant Eric Tyler (Doug McKeon) and Captain Stanley Levitt (Stephen Burleigh) are two Air Force officers stationed in a nuclear missile silo. A normal day on the job for the soldiers quickly goes downhill when nuclear war breaks out. Days after the initial attack, the pair discover that the world outside has been reduced to a radioactive wasteland plunged into a nuclear winter. Lt. Maureen Knox (Carrington Garland) and Capt. Andrew Garza (Leo Garcia), a pair of officers in another missile silo, make contact with Levitt and Tyler via radio. The mentally unstable Garza goes outside after he sees what he thinks are people moving in the shadows, but he quickly disappears. A lonely Knox goes out to find him despite Tyler and Levitt's attempts to convince her otherwise, and she too disappears. Tyler and Levitt soon discover that a vampire, unaffected by the radiation and able to roam the earth permanently due to the eternal night, has been hiding outside the silos, having bitten and turned Garza and Knox. Just how long can the remaining two officers wait until the vampires get inside?

Diabetic scientific researcher George Gatlin (Dylan McDermott) discovers that he has been injected with H-Cell-24, a deadly experimental virus cell, in lieu of his insulin. As H-Cell-24 has no antidote, George learns that the virus will cause tumors to grow all over his body and kill him in a matter of hours. After hearing what he believes to be evidence that his lab partners, Sophie Wagner and Pack Brightman (Sônia Braga and Cleavon Little), have purposely injected him with the virus in a plot to kill him, George vows to use what little time he has left to get revenge on his colleagues.
Count Dracula journeys to a remote Chinese village in the guise of a warlord to support six vampires who are dispirited after the loss of a seventh member of their cult. At the same time, vampire hunter Prof. Van Helsing happens to be lecturing in the country and is persuaded by villagers to help them fight this curse of the ages.

"Revenge is the Nuts"
Arnie Grunwald (Anthony Zerbe) is the sadistic and psychopathic head caretaker at a home for the blind. He routinely goes out of his way to abuse the home's patients, Samuel, Armelia, and Osgood (Issac Hayes, Bibi Besch, and Tim Sampson), by lining the walls with razor blades, walling off the bathrooms, spilling marbles on the floor, and unleashing his guard dog Bruno on them. When Shelia (Teri Polo), a new patient, arrives at the home, Arnie agrees to tone down the borderline inhumane conditions at the home if she sleeps with him. Refusing to do so, Shelia teams up with the other patients and Arnie's abused brother Benny (John Savage) to ensure that Arnie gets his much deserved comeuppance.
Oct.4 and Dec.26 the Strieber family drives from NYC to their cabin in the woods. Both nights there are some powerful lights outside and maybe aliens. The dad is mentally affected by the "bad dream", goes to the shrink and is hypnotized.

A Very Happy Ending
Pagey Fisher is a deaf bitter young boy from a rich family, who blames his father for his hearing loss as well as his mother's death. At an airport, Pagey witness aging mob hitman Charley killing an acquaintance, Buzzy Carelli. Pagey can read lips and realizes that Charley is on the same flight as he and his caring tutor Martha. During the flight, Pagey watches the in-flight movie, Conan the Barbarian, until Charley falls a sleep and then pick pockets him. He takes Charley's switchblade and I.D. and blackmails him to kill his father or he'll report him. Charley is at first shocked and thinks about killing the kid but his softer side prevails and he plays along while simultaneously trying to convince the kid to give up on his demand even though the kid simply won't budge. During the big birthday party for Pagey, Charley sneaks in. They talk while they wait for Pagey's father to return from a business trip and become friends. Once his father returns the end game begins. However, Charley is in for a surprise when he finally learns who Pagey's dad actually is.

"Alter-Ego"
Bobby is a very bright but very sickly boy with a particular fondness for chess. As he starts fifth grade, he is delighted to find that his teacher is the very popular Miss Gilden, with whom he forms a close friendship. Unfortunately, early in the school year, Bobby becomes too sick to go to school. After a short period of time, an alter-ego who looks exactly like Bobby appears and tells him not to worry: he will go to school for Bobby and come home and tell him what he has learned. Unfortunately, the alter-ego terrorizes Miss Gilden, ultimately disgracing her and causing her death. As the alter-ego becomes stronger, Bobby becomes weaker until the alter-ego suggests that they play a game of chess to decide who should live as Bobby. With his life at stake, Bobby needs to best this evil version of himself. Assistance comes from an unexpected source.

The Mole
When a dangerous patient is released from the State mental hospital, a nurse contacts his one-time psychiatrist, Dr. Maxwell Stoddard and urges him to call the police. The released patient, a man named Litton, had been in the hospital for over 15 years and was known as the Mole for his penchant to kill his victims in the dark. Working with Detective Sergeant Jim Willis, Dr. Stoddard tracks the patient to a construction site where they have a fateful encounter.
