This is a short video review of a Baldric sling made by Jacob @ThePreppersBunkerOutdoors . The website to purchase is: https://www.beachintactical.com/
I have had people ask about mounting belt loops to axe sheaths every now and then. I generally do not recommend this for several reasons I discuss in the video. The Baldric sling is a much better option for ease of use and safety in my opinion. The two I purchased from Beachin tactical are top notch, well made kit items that will last. These slings can also be used for a variety of uses.

I was lucky enough to film my first turkey hunt. It is one I will remember for a long long time! Tons of vocalizations and call interactions with birds up close and personal.
I started scouting this location before the hunt, spending a few days getting stuck in snow and cutting downed trees from the road. I marked a few birds, spent a lot of time studying maps and planning potential strategies.
I made a huge mistake that almost cost my hunt and had to spend several hours getting a replacement tag. Once back in camp I set up and make dinner, walleye tacos! Once dusk was upon me I went down and listened for roosting birds. This was a very positive sign for the morning.
After laying in the dark for hours anxious to get out Dawn finally arrived and the show started with lots of gobbling! The early hours of the hunt were a bit rocky, failing to get a positive response from the bird I thought there were other hunters in the area... not likely. Turned out there was just a lot of vocal birds in the area and I had to set and wait my turn for attention from the Big Ol mountain tom. Persistence pays off as I get multiple hens to surround my decoy and help entice a bird to wander into the deep woods clearing I was set up in.

A video of how to make what I have put together as my tinder kit. I tested several different methods and tinder set ups, but I kind of accidently found this while working on another project. Jute twine coated with a mixture of pine pitch and charcoal. Very simple can be done at home or in the field, can be made for little or no cost and is almost completely waterproof.

A friend and I have a tendency to get into hobbies together even though we live at opposite ends of the country, So we both moved up from our Dual sport-ish KLRs to more highway friendly 1200cc adventure touring bikes. While planning a possible future trip we were discussing learning to ride our new beasts of burden offroad when he asked me where I go to practice...... So I thought I would do a video to explain this. It is NOT epic adventure time like the advertisers portray, just a rookie learning how to maneuver this beast. I am not afraid to admit I was nervous as hell just turning this thing around in my driveway when I first got it, a combination of it being expensive (for me) decent to look at (shiny) and HUGE !! I was intimidated, but determined to wrangle it. As most riders will agree riding bigger bikes is not hard when you are underway, but maneuvering them in tighter spaces gets tricky especially on a taller bike, and offroad.

Some footage of me learning how to pick up my KLR in different ways. Actually having never been truly 'off road with these things we wanted to test our skills in a relatively safe area with soft landings before taking them on trips this summer. I am no motorcycle hero thats for sure. Was also testing out some new tires, the ground was a mix of dry sand, wet sand mud on top of ice, ice and snow, rocks, gravel etc so it was perfect to see how the tires would do. I am happy with the front TKC 80 but the Shinko 705 is pretty much useless on anything wet, including the road. might be swapping it out.

Installing the Scotty Downrigger weight retrieval system without cutting your downrigger cable. If you are installing a Scotty retriever on a Scotty downrigger all you need is 5 minutes and some househould items, NO CRIMPERS REQUIRED! Other makes of downrigger may require cutting and crimping.
Running Downriggers without retrievers ? save your back and stop leaning out the boat to pick up your line, no more swiveling the whole downrigger to reset your line ! Honestly the best mod I have made to my fishing system yet, especially if you are fishing alone or with other people not familiar with rigging their own gear !
Here is a link to my Amazon affiliate program if you choose to use it it supports the channel and future projects at no cost to you !

This video is for people new to catch and cooking fish. It includes how to clean and properly care for your trout once you have caught one. I show one of my favorite recipes for cooking trout. A simple recipe with few ingredients that can be done in the field or at home.
Remember to treat your fish like a premium food: you would not drag chicken around warm muddy water for 4 hours before cooking it so don't do it to your fish either!
Recipe as follows:
Ingredients:
Sliced jalapeno, sliced garlic, fresh dill, lemon, olive oil or butter, seasoning of choice, or salt and pepper
Directions:
Catch Trout
Clean and scale trout, put on ice.
Once ready to cook lightly score fish skin every inch or so
Apply seasoning of choice
Coat fish with oil or butter
Prep pan with oil and pre cook garlic and jalapeno infusing flavors
Remove garlic and jalapeno when lightly cooked
Stuff fish cavity with lemon and fresh herbs, garlic, jalapeno etc
Fry fish in skillet or cook on BBQ until meat is no longer translucent and flakes easily
Cook side dishes, Enjoy!
This recipe works well with most fish, and many ingredients. For a kick use lime instead of lemon, stuff trout with mushrooms and onions. Cook on BBQ with heavy smoke, or bake in the oven. It is a very versatile way to cook.
