Now, they will work on the last two Gladiator vocation quests. Then, they will head to the Heart of Hades for a little more grinding. Rakkaran (time 0:27): The party resumes at the church counter in Rakkaran's Coliseum. They go down the stairs at D-7 to the basement pub. There, they talk to Jacob at F-8. Jacob issues Quest 168: "Battlelympics - Finals", the fourth Gladiator vocation quest. The prerequisites are to reach Gladiator Level 25 and to complete Quest 167. Heorot must talk to Clark in the lobby to enter the arena. The party goes to the lobby on the first floor and talks to Clark at E-5. Heorot agrees to enter the arena solo to start the Battlelypics Finals. Let's get it on! A cutscene takes place in the arena. Heorot's first match is against Valquez (バルケス). Valquez carries a big hammer, but he is no match for Heorot. Heorot's HP and MP are restored after the match. Another cutscene takes place. Heorot's second match is against Brigitte (ブリギッテ). Like Heorot, she wields a greatsword. She might be some trouble if Heorot were actually Level 25. Heorot's HP and MP are restored after the match. Another cutscene takes place after the match. Heorot's third and final match is against Sains (セインズ). Sains dual-wields two swords. Still not a major problem for Heorot. At the end of the battle, Sains provides a base of 1,600 experience points. Heorot's HP and MP are restored. After the match, another cutscene takes place. While Heorot has won, there is also trouble! Heorot must combat a Dentasaurus (デンタサウルス). It has high defence, so be sure to Double Up. When it hides in its shell, it is a good time to restore buffs or heal with an item. Another scene takes place after the battle. The identity of our masked friend, Buster, is revealed, but not before he takes out a conspirator in the Coliseum's troubles. Clark rewards Heorot with a Strength Ring (ちからのゆびわ). Heorot's next objective is to report to Jacob. When the party regains control, Hussar equips the Strength Ring. The party goes down the stairs at D-7 to the basement pub. There, they talk to Jacob at F-8. Quest 168 complete! Heorot learns the Gladiator Coup de Grâce ability, "Tension Boost" (テンションブースト). The party talks to Jacob at F-8 again. Jacob issues Quest 169: "The One who Becomes the Sword", the fifth Gladiator vocation quest. The prerequisites are to complete Quest 168 and to reach Gladiator Level 30. It seems Sains has escaped but has sent a challenge to find him at the Ancient Orseko Arena. Challenge accepted. The party goes upstairs. After resting at the inn, they leave the Coliseum. They Zoom to the Ancient Orseko Arena in the Orseko Highlands. Orseko Highlands (time 25:42): The party enters the Ancient Orseko Arena at C-6/C-7. Ancient Orseko Arena (time 26:02): The party starts on floor 1F. In the south, they take the stairway at E-8 to floor B1. At D-4/D-5, they find a random blue chest with 719 gold. Then, the party takes the stairway at C-3 to floor B2. They take the door at E-3 to the stage. When they enter the stage, a scene takes place with Jacob and Sains. After the scene, it is boss time against Fighter Sains (闘士セインズ). With abilities like Gigaslash, he is a little tougher this time around. However, my party is strong enough to defeat him with ease. Another scene takes place after the battle. Sains isn't the only problem here! The party gains control on floor B2, where they can prepare for the next boss if needed. They are good to go, so they take the door at E-3 to the stage. Another scene takes place when they arrive. After the scene, it is boss time against Brandon's Beast (ブランドンビースト). Brandon's Beast can put up Tension Burn, and it can blast the party with fierce fire and Lightning. Could be a problem for a party that's not overleveled. At the end of the battle, Brandon's Beast provides a base of 2,000 experience points. Another scene takes place after the battle. Put 'em up, Brandon! The party's next objective is to report to Jacob at the Rakkaran Coliseum. The party gains control in the stage. They Zoom to Rakkaran. In this video, he will go to Dangruf Wadi for more grinding as Black Mage. Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. In his delivery box, he receives gold for a stack of Fire Crystals that sold at auction. Many thanks to the buyer! Heorot changes his main job to Level 91 Black Mage with White Mage as support job. He puts an item away in his Mog Safe. Afterwards, he heads out to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 1:26): Heorot uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to Dangruf Wadi, Gustaberg. Dangruf Wadi (time 2:15): Heorot arrives at K-10. With the Grounds Tome nearby, he signs up for the Page 5 individual training to defeat 4 Witchetty Grubs and 2 Goblin Headsmen per training regime. He can find these enemies fairly easily northeast and west of I-8. The Goblins, of course, are aggressive. The Witchetty Grubs are not, but they do link, so be careful. During the grinding, Heorot reaches Black Mage Level 92. When he has finished, he Warps back to Bastok Markets. Bastok Markets (time 59:15): Heorot trades his Copper A.M.A.N. Voucher to Isakoth at E-11. In Mjoll's Goods, he sells his loot to Olwyn at E-11. Then, Heorot teleports to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 1:00:49): At the auction house, Heorot puts a stack of Fire Crystals up for sale. Then, Heorot enters the residential area. Mog House (time 1:02:23): Heorot signs off.
