The Cessna 172S with the G1000 instrumentation setup Taxi and Runup procedure.
Please note; this video was created for a friend of mine to fly the Cessna 172S G1000 from the Right Seat. This is why I was using the MFD to display what is usually displayed on the PFD. If you are going to fly from the Left Seat, I would recommend you have the moving map displayed on the MFD.
G'day Fellow Pilots,
For this video, I flipped through a Cessna 152 Flight Manual to pick out key bits of information for pilots. This is the type of basic information pilots need to be aware of when flying the Cessna 152, the performance and limitations of the aircraft and some recommendations.
Keep in mind, I am not a flight instructor, this video only covers some of the information you need to be aware of as a Cessna 152 pilot.
I have not covered any topics dealing with emergency procedures for the Cessna 152. I have not covered emergency procedures in this video as it's difficult to realistically simulate inflight emergencies with X-Plane 11. This is why I do not simulate any inflight emergency procedures. Based on my experience, I do believe the inflight emergencies are best practiced in the actual aircraft with a flight instructor.
Thank you for watching and I hope you got something out of watching this video..

G'day Fellow Pilots,
I wanted to make a brief introduction video to latest aircraft I've added to my X-Plane 11 fleet, the Cessna 152. The Cessna 152 (and the Beechcraft Duchess BE76) has been one of the few aircraft types I really miss flying the most. It's such a simple yet fun aircraft to fly. It's cramped, very limited payload with full tanks, with a very limited panel, but I loved flying it. I used to own my own Cessna 152, N93621, when I was living in Virginia working for Independence Air as a Part 121 Flight Dispatcher. However after Independence Air filed for bankruptcy, I had to sell the aircraft.
I will plan to make some additional short haul VFR navigation videos; using Dead Reckoning, VORs and the NDB. You will see how easy it is to fly a Cessna 152, but how simple it is to navigate with basic Dead Reckoning skills.
Thank you for watching..

A short flight simulation video using Dead Reckoning to navigate from Manassas, Virginia to Winchester, Virginia. No reference to any Navaids or GPS for this flight navigation exercise. The only tools allowed are a watch, map and a compass to navigate.

The VOR RWY 18 instrument approach does NOT have a DME ARC. I created a fake 20 DME ARC for this video, to join the Initial Approach Fix for the KTYQ VOR Rwy 18 non-precision instrument approach. The actual approach plate used is displayed during the video.
This video was created with the intention of helping people visualize the approach on the HSI, by using the CDI needle and the VOR bearing needle at the same time. Also to show how a DME ARC is flown. (Although I could have flown the 20 DME ARC a bit better)
Imagine the center of the HSI represents the VOR. The CDI represents the inbound track as portrayed on the published approach plate. The VOR bearing needle (tail of the needle) represents the aircrafts current position in relation to the inbound or outbound approach leg as it flys around the fake 20 DME arc.
If you have difficulty visualizing it, I can create additional videos with symbols and logos placed on top of the HSI. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me through the social media links below or my website ashleywincer.com Thanks..

G'day Fellow Pilots,
This is the sixth of a series of X-Plane 11 Flight Sim videos. I was planning on doing these videos in real life instead of on the flight sim. Based on current circumstances, X-Plane 11 is my best option for the moment.
Welcome to the 6th episode of the web series; Building Time - In Search of the Great $100 Hamburger. Normally I do flights from Indianapolis Metro (KUMP) to various airports with restaurants on the field located throughout the Midwest and the Eastcoast in search of the great $100 hamburger. In this episode, I have changed it up a bit. Today we fly in Melbourne, Australia. We will fly from Moorabbin Airport (YMMB) to Latrobe Valley Airport (YLTV). Today we take the Beechcraft Duchess (BE76) instead of the Cessna 172S, so we could get there quicker and I miss flying the Duchess in real life.
The original plan was to create 10 episodes (10 mins each) in the Cessna 172S with a good friend of mine, MacKenzie, flying with me in the right seat. The main purpose was to build my flight time to qualify for the US ATP (1,500 hours). At the same time, expose MacKenzie to flying from the right hand seat so she could gain enough confidence to eventually go for her US Single Private and Single Commercial Pilots License. I am not a flight instructor, so MacKenzie would not have been able to log any flight time. However, she would have been exposed to hands on flying, various flight procedures, CTAF and ATC radio comms, Flight Planning, Navigating, Weather Briefing, Command Decision making, etc.
I was in the process of finishing up pre-production and we did a couple of test flights together with video footage when my hours at work were heavily reduced. My work hours as an Aircraft Fueler at Indianapolis International (KIND) were heavily reduced due to the Part 121 airline flight operation cutbacks. Resulting in postponing the original web series plans. Once the cash flow is back, the flights with MacKenzie will continue. I am really looking forward to that.
I hope you enjoy this video and Thank you for watching..

G'day Fellow Pilots,
This is the fifth of a series of X-Plane 11 Flight Sim videos. I was planning on doing these videos in real life instead of on the flight sim. Based on current circumstances, X-Plane 11 is my best option for the moment.
Welcome to the 5th episode of the web series; Building Time - In Search of the Great $100 Hamburger. I will be doing a series of flights from Indianapolis Metro (KUMP) to various airports with restaurants on the field located throughout the Midwest and the Eastcoast in search of the great $100 hamburger. In this episode, we fly from Indianapolis Metro to Akron-Canton Regional, Ohio. Today we take the Beechcraft Duchess (BE76) instead of the Cessna 172S, so we could get there quicker and I miss flying the Duchess in real life.

I hope you enjoy this video. This one is the longest one so far, but the original flight was a little over 1 hour and 30 mins. I managed to trim a lot of unnecessary footage out of this video. The following episodes will be to destinations a little closer to the departure point.
