Father Christmas is an educational game and multimedia application developed by British company Millennium Interactive and published by Gaga Communications. It was only released in Japan.
The game is based on the eponymous book by Raymond Briggs. Father Christmas' dog and cat, which appear in the book, have gone on a trip around the world. They sent Father Christmas a picture postcard from their current location. The postcard contains some information on and an image of their current location, and you need to find the corresponding area on the globe. If you have enough correct guesses in a row, you will catch up to the dog and the cat.
Apart from this game, Father Christmas has a small multimedia encyclopedia where you can access short info texts with fotos and sound effects about certain monuments, customs, wildlife etc. on every continent. This mode can also be used to "train" for the game mode.
Finally, Father Christmas contains digitized version of the animated 25-min long Father Christmas film that was released in 1991.

Ringworld - Revenge of the Patriarch is a point-and-click adventure game developed and published by Tsunami Media.
The game is based on the Ringworld novels by Larry Niven, but it is no direct adaption of one of the books.
The Ringworld is an artificial world in space, a giant artificial ring around a sun where the side directed to the sun is covered with soil and is habitable. In the first book, a man called Louis Wu travels to the Ringworld, together with a Speaks-to-Animals (later known as Chmeee), a Kzin, Nessus a Puppeteer, a woman called Teela Brown, and others. Kzin and Puppeteers are aliens. Kzin are violent and militant anthropomorphic cats, while Puppeteers are two-headed, three-legged, vague cross between horses, camels and ostriches.
In the game, you play Quinn, an old fried of Louis Wu. Louis has sent a message to Quinn to help him in case he disappears, and then eventually disappeared. Louis also asked Quinn to warn Chmeee family of incoming danger. When Quinn seeks out Chmeee's family, it turns out that Chmeee has also disappeared. Moreover, Kzin forces arrive to assassinate the whole family. Quinn barely escaped with one of Chmeee's sons. They learn that Louis and Chmeee are probably back on Ringworld, so they set off to search for them, with Kzin on their heels; the Patriarch, leader of the Kzin, has declared Chmeee a traitor and ordered the killing of him and all of his family. The Patriarch also orders the destruction of the Puppeteers' home world. In the events of the first book, it was revealed that the Puppeteers had meddle with the Kzin. They drove them to wage war against the humans several times, and each time they lost. The Puppeteers, who are paranoid and ruthlessly manipulate everything around them to secure their own survival, aimed to engineer the Kzin to be less violent and aggressive by wasting their most aggressive people in the wars against mankind.
Battletoads is a beat'em up developed by British company Rare and published by Electronic Arts. It was only released in the arcades and it is no port of the eponymous console game.
Once again, you take control of either Rash, Zitz or Pimple. There is no story, at least not in the game, you just go through a number of stages and fight a boss at the end. While the original console game blended a lot of gameplay styles, the arcade game is mostly a beat'em up, except a shoot'em up stage. There are two main commands, attack and jump. You can perform a number of combos. Some enmies drop weapons which can be picked up and be used a limited amount of times. There are also object in the levels which can either be thrown or used as club. Sometimes flies will appear which can be eaten to regain some health.
Hi no Tori - Hououhen (Firebird - Volume of the Phoenix, 火の鳥 鳳凰編) is a vertically scrolling shoo'tem up with some exploration elements developed and published by Konami. It was only released in Japan.
The game is based on the Manga Hi no Tori, published as Phoenix in English language. It is a scrolling shooter similar to Kinghtmare, Undeadline or Elemental Master. Your character can jump and shoot. There are various weapons and items available, which make you faster or give you temporary invincibility. Items are usually obtained from destroyed stone heads. You can also collect plumes of the phoenix. These can be used at any time to buy weapon upgrades.
The exploration aspect comes from the fact that each is a labyrinth which you need to search. There are exits to left and right to enter different areas (if you continue to go straight, you will walk in circles). Some branches are blocked by gates, and you need to find keys to open the gates. At one point, a gate will lead you to the stage's boss. If you beat the boss, you go to the next stage, but you have to backtrack to earlier stages later in the game to access areas you could not unlock before.
