Not Just Source: Half-Life is Broken Too. Exhibit Q - Healing Door

I was playing vanilla Half-Life from Steam; not Source, and without any mods or file changes. I had just downloaded the game and verified my files.

The infinite healing door is a well-know, speedrun-favorite glitch in half-life 1, where the last security door in Surface Tension actually deals -1 damage when crushing. You can use this to your advantage by purposely getting stuck on the door, and gaining insane amounts of health and suit armor, so you can damage-boost to your heart's content later. It is believed that this -1 damage was programmed in the door to prevent Barney from getting accidentally killed by it, which would end the game abruptly.

Another map with a deadly brutal start, and many other deadly spots in the middle. The red door room is probably thee most difficult mid-way point where in-fighting RNG will dictate if you either clear the room fast and get a good time, or you run out of ammo and have to restart. Also the large amount of 20% damaging floor sections makes this map quite frustrating to speedrun, because health is already limited to begin with, and then you have to deal with the occasional leaky radiation suit... not cool! This is the penultimate map of Pirate Doom, with quite a big final battle! In this Grog Factory they produce the stuff that's in the barrels apparently (only noticed it after recording). And they also produce arachnotrons and all the other steam-punk-like monsters, I guess. Anywho, time to shut the factory down! This was recorded through GZDoom, using HRTF for in-game sounds; so wear headphones for the best audio experience. This is a blind run: my first time playing these maps.
