This is the Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel for the PlayStation 4 running on a PlayStation 5. On PS4, the resolution for Trails of Cold Steel was 1080p. On PS4 Pro, the resolution was 1800p, with some UI art elements are in 1080p. The frame rate for both consoles was 60fps, although would dip below 60fps depending on how much was going on during combat or the location you're visiting. The real test will be Trails of Cold Steel II. That one had some problems maintaining 60fps on PlayStation 4 Pro for whatever reason.
The PlayStation 5 uses PlayStation 4 Pro settings, so you'll be able to experience this game in 1800p at 60fps on both a 4K display and a 1080p display.
Let me know what you think in the comments below. Thanks for watching!
This recording is in 1080p and 60fps. Gameplay captured from a PS5.

When Tifa and/or Aerith have the same taste in beachwear with Cloud, the cutscene ends up being a little longer. To match Cloud wearing his Ocean Chocobo swimsuit, have Tifa wear her Majestic Glamour swimsuit and have Aerith wear her Floral Delight swimsuit. To match Cloud wearing his Wild Surf swimsuit, have Tifa wear her Shining Spirit swimsuit and have Aerith wear her Pink Mermaid swimsuit.
This recording is in 4K and 30fps. Gameplay captured from a PS5 using an Elgato 4K60 Pro.

Just playing NieR: Automata on PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility, testing performance to make sure there aren't any crashes while picking up trophies along the way.
NieR: Automata originally released on the PlayStation 4 in 2017. The PS5 uses PS4 Pro settings, so gameplay is in 1080p and 60fps.
The video is in 4K, but actual gameplay is in 1080p. The reason I uploaded this video in 4K was to combat YouTube's video compression. I'm not sure if this video will end up looking better in 1080p because of that, but that's also my hope. If you're watching this on a 1080p display at 1080p, does compression still look bad?
Let me know what you think in the comments below. Thanks for watching!

This is Ys IX: Monstrum Nox for the PlayStation 4 running on a PlayStation 5. Version 1.02 was released on May 17. This update adds support for 4K resolution for PS5. Prior to this update, the highest resolution for this game was 1080p across PS4, PS4 Pro, and PS5.
On PS4 and PS4 Pro, Ys IX's framerate would drop quite a bit in towns. Now that Ys IX has 4K resolution support on PS5, how does the framerate perform in towns? Sadly, there are drops in performance, especially if you get too close to the purple barrier. The lowest I saw the framerate dip was around 50fps.
The video is in 1080p, but the gameplay was originally captured in 4K60 using an Elgato 4K60 Pro. I use DaVinci Resolve for these framerate analysis videos and it's always converting my 4K videos to 1080p. If you want to see how this game looks in 4K on YouTube, check out my previous Ys IX video:

This is Monster Hunter: World for the PlayStation 4 played on a PlayStation 5. Like my first PS5 backwards compatibility video, the graphics settings is set to Prioritize Resolution. The biggest difference is that this video is recorded in 4K instead of 1080p.
Prioritize Resolution gives you the best of both worlds: high resolution and high framerate. On PlayStation 4 Pro, this mode would usually run between 30 to 45fps. On PS5, the framerate is locked at 60fps. This is the same for the other two modes, those being Prioritize Framerate and Prioritize Graphics. On PS4 Pro, Prioritize Framerate would get closer to 60fps than the other modes, but would dip in frames just like the others. Prioritize Graphics has better draw distance, level of detail, and shadows, but the framerate would be around 30 to 40fps.
The resolution for both Prioritize Framerate and Prioritize Graphics is 1080p. Prioritize Resolution gives you the highest resolution, setting the resolution at 1800p with checkerboard rendering. This is my favorite graphics mode, since the image quality is much cleaner than the other two. This mode looks great on both a 4K display and a 1080p display.
This recording is in 4K and 60fps. Gameplay captured from a PS5 using an Elgato 4K60 Pro.

Another test for Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash running on a PlayStation 5. When you boot up Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash, you're greeted with a notification that reads, "You might experience unexpected game behavior while playing this PS4 game on your PS5 console." As aforementioned in the previous PBS video, there appears to be some sort of texture glitch in some levels. It doesn't seem to occur in cutscenes. This video demonstrates what I'm talking about.
