KAIJU MASTERCLASS, which happens October 2nd through the 4th, is an online, totally free-to-attend convention celebrating the rich history of Japanese giant monster cinema and television by bringing together an incredible amount of artisans, historians and researchers from both sides of the Pacific

The guest roster is staggering and includes names like SHUSUKE KANEKO (The Gamera Trilogy, GMK), SHINJI HIGUCHI (Shin Godzilla, Attack on Titan), SHINICHI WAKASA (Godzilla suitmaker), DAVID ARNOLD (film composer for James Bond and Godzilla 1998), TAB MURPHY (writer for Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame) and many, many others.

I was able to sit down with a few of the organizers (Kyle Byrd and Matt Parmley of KAIJU TRANSMISSIONS, Erik Homenick of AkiraIfukube.org, and Patrick Galvan of Toho Kingdom/Syfy.com) to discuss how this wonderful event came about and what attendees can expect.
