In today's video, James and Alex show us how the cat turns off the light switch. Although potentially not the best trick to be teaching their cat, they had already filmed it and were so proud. After some educating, this will be the one and only showing of this trick lol.
Hope you enjoy! Thank you so much for watching! James and Alex

American Buff Geese Winter Feeding
As winter progresses we wanted to show some of what we do to help feed our American Buff Geese when pasture is not available. Overall, its pretty simple and usually more about limiting them (i.e. keeping them from getting to fat). In a lot of ways geese are a very different kind of poultry to have around the farm as raising them is a bit more like raising larger livestock in terms of space and feeding. To a degree geese have become a bit of a forgotten livestock which is a shame given all their positive qualities as a very sustainable animal.
We hope you enjoyed this video and don't forget to like, comment and subscribe for more great poultry and homestead adventures!

It's nice to have a job like this that goes together fairly quickly on the homestead!

And for those of us who do not consider themselves beredes if your chickens have babies at any point you are breeding them and given the uncertainty of things in today's society it is fairly simple to get yourself set up with a chicken flock that can be sustainably produce you meat and eggs and keep it going wit through the clan mating or spiral mating method.
