Live Version of one of my earliest songs "Every Day Is A Party" this is back when I released my first album "Metal Matt Acoustic"...a very raw around the edges album, I released 3 albums after this one and luckily they got better as they went on haha...all independently made, and released on CD...and available in Rough Trade - but now they're only available on Bandcamp https://metalmattgothic.bandcamp.com
anyway this song is a rather cynical song about me being an introvert at nightclubs and not being able to do what "everyone else" seemed to be able to do and let their hair down, and also a commentary on the alcoholics I used to observe at these clubs. It was never for me haha, the more I drank the more observant I got, and the more aware I was of how stupid alcohol made other people act...this was back in 2017, luckily the older I got the more I realised how you don't have to try "fit in" and not everybody has to enjoy nightclubs to be normal! Now I just do my own thing and am much happier for it.
this live version of the song was recorded at Mr Wolf's in Bristol, a regular open mic night I used to attend. I stumbled across this old recording and thought it was worth uploading just to hear how I kinda started out and the kind of music I was making, acoustic/gothic rock I'd call it if I had to attach a label to it, Probably one of the better tracks I did in the early days as there's a lot that weren't so great haha, but that's the evolution of a musician, gotta start somewhere! anyways enjoy folks ??? and If you want to go download some of my albums or tracks from Bandcamp that would be awesome. Most of my music can also be found on iTunes, Spotify and all the other streaming sites.
