Para expresar el día del mes se emplean los números ordinales, first, twenty-second, etc. Hay dos maneras básicas de expresar una fecha, o bien empezando con el día o empezando con el mes:
fecha + mes o mes + fecha
It´s the second of January. It´s January the second.
It´s the twenty-fifth of September. It´s September the twenty-fifth.
En inglés norteamericano se suele omitir el artículo the cuando se sitúa el mes en primer lugar.

It´s the second of January. - It´s January second.
Cuando se menciona el día de la semana, éste se expresa antes del resto de la fecha utilizando las mismas construcciones anteriores:
día + fecha + mes o día + mes + fecha
It´s Friday, the second of January. It´s Friday, January the second.
It´s Thursday, the fifth of October. It´s Thursday, October fifth.
La forma más habitual de expresar el año verbalmente es decir cada decena por separado cuando la hay:
33 - thirty-three - treinta y tres
946 - nine hundred and forty-six - novecientos cuarenta y seis
1066 - ten sixty-six - lit.: diez sesenta y seis
1995 - nineteen ninety-five - lit.: diecinueve noventa y cinco
El año siempre se pone al final de la fecha completa, tanto en inglés británico como en inglés norteamericano:
It´s June the second, nineteen ninety-five.
