The island of Juanica has been part of the tan nation for 400 years. The tans colonized this piece of dirt in the ocean so they could navigate trade and keep away pirates. This island also held symbolic importance to the tans, this island helped not only trade but also taught them how to have a good navy. The island was perfect for the tans to colonize and explore. The island of Juanica was mostly desert, it had little vegetation. There's one thing that sets it apart from the tans homeland though. There's plenty of water on Juanica. The famous water source Little Falls is of symbolic importance to both the pinks and the Tans. It's the biggest water source on the island. It's an important checkpoint to travel around the island. Little falls is located in the middle of the island, which makes it Vidal for controlling the island. Basically, if you control little falls, you control half the water source on the island. The tans loved this island and its desert climate for many years. This was to not last forever though. The pinks in the First World War Plastic War decided to seize the island for themselves. For the pinks this island had one importance, it was near their homeland and had a plentiful amount of oil there. The pinks wanted this oil so they could build their own navy. The pinks wanted to secure the trade routes in their group of islands. The pinks after 2 long years of fighting on the island, seized the island as their own. After this, the tans waited for the right moment to retake the island. The moment would come when the tans noticed the pinks current government was failing. There was civil war all over the pinks empire. The most unrest was on the island of Juanica. The tans saw their moment. They decided to strike and retake the island of Juanica. The tans sent an invasion force to retake the island once and for all. The pink's morale is low. This is because the pinks have no idea why they are even fighting to protect a floating landfill of sand in the ocean. The tans on the other hand are anxious to take back this island.
