Why Lunar Landers Had Jumper Cables For Emergencies
The engineers who developed the Apollo program spacecraft really liked to try and think of everything, and that included emergency procedures for almost every contingency. In one scenario an astronaut would leave the Lunar Module with a set of cables designed to transfer power to a stranded lunar module.
I spent 3 days in Edinburgh being a tourist, watching a handful of the thousands of fringe shows, and seeing some of the monuments.
(I really wanted to climb to the top of the monument, but we had an epic rainstorm minutes after recording this)

My take on the images released by the JWST earlier this week, a whole new level of detail is now possible with this new instrument. Moreover, I wanted to answer some questions about what we're seeing in the images, and, why the stars have 8 points while Hubble images only show 4.

I showed this rocket previously, but never actually flew it onscreen, it's a 26.3 ton rocket that's capable of landing on Duna and returning safely to Kerbin. I think I can make it lighter still.
Also, I had some other amusing highlights related to my land speed records that I wanted to share.

Running sometimes works, a stealthy VIP extraction mission turns into a foot race, my team is pretty fast, but are they fast enough to outrun a bullet?

The signals from beyond the Horizon are altering our culture's perception of time, space and causality. The implications are far reaching, and who knows where this loop will lead, and who we might find on the way....

We knew it was possible, but making it work required some more practice with the EVA control systems. Leaving the ship in orbit, Jebediah Kerman once more lands on Minmus and then one orbit later he relaunches and rendezvous with the capsule in orbit, finally winning his bet with Bob Kerman.

Space engine provides the biggest and most beautiful explorable universe out there, you literally can go anywhere in the known universe, and discover places that nobody else has. It was just updated with some new features and improvements, so I thought I'd fly around looking for new things.

Interstellaria is a game that was kickstarted about a year ago for a modest goal promising a space exploration game with retro graphics and a soundtrack by chiptune star Chipzel. Definitly a niche title, but if you fondly remember PC games from the days before VGA became the standard then you'll understand the aesthetic.
