It has been over a year now that I dance Bachata, so I though it would be time to start uploading some videos for the sake of keeping track of my progress. So here's the first video of myself.
I was social dancing with my friend Lyla on March 13th. That was my last social event before the whole Covid19 and Quarantine crisis.
I see a million mistakes in this short clip, and I still don't move with a 'latin vibe' but I have about 12 years of Hip Hop vibes to get over, so it'll take time..
I think my musicality and creativity aren't bad, but I was able to carry a part of it from previous experiences.

My friend and I made that video in September 2021. Yes, it took me over a year to post it.. lol
We picked that place, time and song because it matched what we wanted to express with the video: Dancing is not just about high energy, fancy moves, perfect techniques, etc.
We took this time to have a very imperfect dance (very unstable on the beach) where we kept things slow, cozy. We tried to take our time to focus more on sharing a moment, because essentially, this is what social dancing is about.
Ok, we were continuously almost falling and disturbed by all the flies we woke up by showing up on an otherwise deserted beach, but it was fun!
Seriously did you see all the flies?? How many was that? ahaha
