The Postgraduate Programme in Healthcare Management of the Open University of Cyprus organizes an International online Symposium, open to all, on the topic of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 24th, 2020, at 17:00-20:30 (GMT+03:00).
Symposium invited speakers include the following academics and doctors:
_ Associate Professor Elpidoforos Soteriades, MA in Healthcare Management, Open University of Cyprus.
_ Dr. Atanas Mangarov, Associate Professor of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria.
_ Dr. Lambros Lazuras, Associate Professor of Psychology, Sheffield Hallam University, U.K.
_ Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi, Professor Emeritus, Medical Microbiology and Hygiene, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany.
_ Dr. John P.A. Ioannidis, Professor of Medicine, Epidemiology and Population Health, Stanford University, USA.
The invited speakers will discuss SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, the different interventions to reduce its effects, and its multifaceted impact on human rights, private and public life, mental health and public health in general.
Metropolitan Isaiah of Tamassos and Oreini will open the symposium, while Dr. Petros Agathangelou, President of the Pancyprian Medical Association and Dr. Andreas Gianoulopoulos, Cardiologist, will present their introductory remarks.
