CHAPTER I
" BREATH IS LIFE."
IS it wontedness and use, or perhaps, that un-
speakably deadening factor thoughtlessness,
that has robbed the pregnant aphorism
" BREATH IS LIFE " of every atom of its pro-
found significance?
None has ever gainsaid it, yet to the mass of
mankind it means no more than if one were to
write omicron muf And to that suicidal mania,
fear of fresh air and draughts, and its accom-
panying folly, flagrant neglect of the primal
function of breathing, the world pays an annual
tribute of at the lowest estimate a quarter million
lives; all sacrificed to -preventable disease! Even
without a regret for those sent thus prematurely
through the " Gates Ajar," think of the crushing
weight of sorrow this entails upon the world!
Though not our loss, the sorrow affects all within
its environment.
The Law of the Rhythmic Breath
But not alone the mass of humanity have been
thus apathetic. Until the beneficial cult of deep
breathing, a growth in rational doing and
thinking of the present generation only, the
man of science whose life work is to relieve human
suffering equally ignored this flaring torch
"BREATH IS LIFE," pointing unerringly to
fundamental truths of being, but which through-
out the centuries of Western civilization might
as well have been a dark lantern. It is my grate-
ful task nay, happy opportunity to prove to
you that it is a torch of such wonderful il-
luminating power that man's electric searchlights
should pale before it. It was a gain, a stalwart
stride in the right direction, to call attention to the
error of commonly fixed habits; but all that has
yet been accomplished is little more than one drop
of purity in a swamp of miasma. Busy people
think they have too much to do to give attention
to a function they have always supposed auto-
matic, never dreaming of the subtle sources of dis-
order affecting its normal activity, and as subtly
feeding and sowing disease. Also, to make a
bad matter worse, in all the so-called " systems "
of breathing taught, good, bad, and indifferent,
the fundamental principle of rhythmic harmony
has attracted little attention, and is rarely under-
stood.

Another amazing discovery was made in 1923. Edmond Bordeaux Szekely was able to discover Essene documents in the secret archives of the Vatican. In his book The Discovery of the Essene Gospel of Peace, he tells the story of how two chess players helped him meet the renowned Msgr. Angelo Mercati, Prefect of the Vatican Archives. He told the Prefect of his desire to learn all he could of the Saint called Francis. He was allowed to research the vast 25 miles of bookshelves containing scrolls, parchments, paper manuscripts and codices. Within the labarinth he found an aramaic translation of The Essene Gospel of Peace as well as the The Essene Book of Revelation. His research led him to seek out the Benedictine monastary of Monte Cassino. He was allowed, because of a letter of Msgr. had written granting access to the large vitrines in the Scriptorium. There he found the original Hebrew codices of The Essene Gospel of Peace, the source for the Aramaic version found at the secret Vatican Archives.

Chapter 1 – Unlimited Possibilities
THE mind of man is conscious and subconscious, objective and subjective, external and internal. The conscious mind acts, the subconscious reacts; the conscious mind produces the impression, the subconscious produces the expression; the conscious mind determines what is to be done, the subconscious supplies the mental material and the necessary power. The subconscious mind is the great within—an inner mental world from which all things proceed that appear in the being of man. The conscious mind is the mind of action, the subconscious mind is the mind of reaction, but every subconscious reaction is invariably the direct result of a corresponding conscious action. Every conscious action produces an impression upon the subconscious and every subconscious reaction produces an expression in the personality. Everything that is expressed through the personality was first impressed upon the subconscious, and since the conscious mind may impress anything upon the subconscious, any desired expression may be secured, because the subconscious will invariably do what it is directed and impressed to do. The subconscious mind is a rich mental field; every conscious impression is a seed sown in this field, and will bear fruit after its kind, be the seed good or otherwise. All thoughts of conviction and all deeply felt desires will impress themselves upon the subconscious and will reproduce their kind, to be later expressed in the personal being of man. Every desire for power, ability, wisdom, harmony, joy, health, purity, life, greatness, will impress itself upon the subconscious, and will cause the thing desired to be produced in the great within, the quality and the quantity depending upon the depth of the desire and the conscious realization of the true idea conveyed by the desire. What is produced in the within will invariably come forth int
