Cummins Pulling Trucks [Big Boost! Big Power!]
These Dodge Cummins have some real power.
Tractor Pulling and truck pulling is a very popular event here in Ohio, and probably some of the most exciting and dangerous to record. With both the OSTPA and NTPA leagues operating in Ohio it is probably some of the most accessible events for spectators to attend.
The National Tractor Pullers Association is the largest league operating around ohio, and as the name suggests, it is a national sanctioning body. It has been around since 1969, and the inception was a successful attempt to unify the pulling classes.
The Ohio State Tractor Pullers Association is a regional sanctioning body in Ohio, and they run basically the same classes that the NTPA runs. The OSTPA claim to fame has to be the number of pro stock semis that they have in attendance. One of the most famous Semi tractor pullers in the area was Brockasaurus, with its wild paint job resembling a dinosaur.
RPM Army (previously known as Wrench Moran Motorsports) has been around for several years. Here at RPM Army on YouTube we focus on local motorsports events. The goal is to provide the best local coverage of racing events in the central Ohio area. The events usually involve drag racing, tractor pulling, tough truck, off road racing, and mudding. The goal of recording the events we visit is to create shareable videos for the racers and fans of specific cars. Because of that, we usually don't produce longer videos. Instead we create videos of single runs so the drive or crew can share it across social platforms.
While our exclusive content on YouTube only covers events in the Ohio Valley area, we invite subscribers to come and visit the site or email us to share pictures and stories about your own rides so we can, in turn, share your projects with the world. JEGS SPEEDWeek is a week long event at National Trail Raceway that combined the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series division 3 event and JEGS SPORTSNationals. There were over 600 cars in the pits and hosted many of the well known NHRA classes including Super Stock, Stock Eliminator and Top Alcohol.

Today at RPM Army we're bringing you one fast Fox. This 9 second Foxbody Mustang drag racing at National Trail Raceway for the annual Night of Thunder event went real quick down the strip.
National Trail Raceway is an NHRA quarter mile drag strip located between Hebron and Kirkersville, Ohio, USA, off of U.S. Route 40. The track is located about 30 minutes east of Columbus, Ohio. It is known to us locals as Nationals Trails.
Night of Thunder is one of the biggest yearly events at National Trail Raceway. They have many different classes racing that night with several exhibition classes meant to put on a huge show for the crowds.
Here at RPM Army on YouTube we focus on local motorsports events. The goal is to provide the best local coverage of racing events in the central Ohio area.

2022 Hillbilly Nationals demolition drag race FULL EVENT at National Trail Raceway!
5/7/2022 was a tough day for drag racing in the Midwest. Lots of rain and cancelled events, but not much could stop the Hillbilly Nationals demolition drag racing. It was 100% a rain or shine event and the crowd loved the carnage, wrecks and action. It was a little bit cold unfortunately, but I was there to catch the action for those of you that missed the show.
For those of you that don't know much about demolition drag racing, it's split into weight and power classes to help keep things fair. You'll have a compact car class and a V6+ class that includes large sedans and SUVs. The cars must touch once before the end of the 1/8th mile and the driver across the finish line first wins.

Today at RPM Army were bringing you a video of a crazy Mazda Rotary drag car racing at National Trail Raceway for the Import Face-off event. Honestly were not really that sure exactly what the model of this car is so maybe you guys n gals could let us know?
National Trail Raceway is an NHRA quarter mile drag strip located between Hebron and Kirkersville, Ohio, USA, off of U.S. Route 40. The track is located about 30 minutes east of Columbus, Ohio. It is known to us locals as Nationals Trails.
Import Face-Off is an event that happens at National Trail Raceway twice a year. It is a big car show as well as drag racing event. The pits are literally filled with any kind of import cars you could think of from JDM to euro cars. The drag racing matches always bring something interesting to the table because it isn’t just import cars racing.

This event was the Knox Co. Fair Tough Truck Races.
Tough Trucks, also known as Tuff Trucks, Pro Arena Trucks and, Street Warriors, are off-road truck competitions held at 4x4 truck jamborees and monster truck events. Tough Truck competitions are a downsized form of short course off-road racing. They are run as a side act at most monster truck shows. Depending on venue and promoter, the tracks can range from as big as a football field, to as small as a hockey rink. Most track set ups consist of a handful of double jumps, single banzai jumps, uneven/rocker hills, and dirt kicker ramps, again depending on venue and promoter. Some tracks are run in Chicago Style/Round E Round Track or S-Style Track. Some competitions are run as a single pass time trial, or side by side racing.

Dang, the driver of this modified Jeep Grand Cherokee tough truck was having such a good run before one of the jumps snapped off his lower control arm and put an end to his race.
Tough truck racing, also known as tuff truck and rough truck racing is a timed off road event. It wasn't created out of any sanctioning body, but evolved from an event hosted at local fairs. Initially it was held as a type of demolition derby for trucks that were damaged or otherwise not road legal. In the case for the Hartford Fair in Croton Ohio, the event was held the day after the motorcross races. The event staff would smooth out the course and allow trucks to race. The fastest racer at the end would be crowned the winner.
Over the years the trucks evolved from beater farm trucks to purpose build short track trucks with design elements taken from Baja trucks. These modified trucks eventually came into a class of their own, and have developed new characteristics to race the tight courses. Besides the longer coil over shocks and roll cages, they have implemented differential braking systems to help the trucks apply brake to one corner. This allows them to apply throttle while one side of the front brakes pivot the truck around corners. Other differences seem to combine rock crawler style solid axles and trailing arm suspension with stiffer front shocks, as well as some cases of four wheel and hydraulic steering.
For the stock classes, the best vehicles tend to be shorter, smaller, and have a better front to back weight balance.
For the modified classes, the best vehicles tend to resemble smaller versions of Stadium Super Trucks, but have solid axles and gearing to suit tight tracks.
