I had to make today's video a two-parter. I promised you a video today, so here it is. In this video, I mostly go over my plan for this make over and complete a few objectives before calling it a night. I thought I would only have 1 day for this renovation, but thought, just maybe I could come back after the contractors left to finish up. Well, I went back Monday night and my entire work area was taped off, ready for them to work on the ceiling. Went back on Tuesday, and still had no access to the area. So I couldn't finish what I started and will have to go back this weekend. Hopefully, they will be finished.
I hope you enjoy and come back for part 2 (which hopefully will be up by the 21st. The first part of 2022 is going to be busy for us with repairs, updates and moving, so I will try to have another video for you in February. If not, I will definitely be back to "normal" in March.

Hey Everyone!
Here is a qucik video on how to build a simple shelf w/ hooks. These shelves are for my parents newly renovated bathroom. They wanted to shelfs to be mounted above the toilet. One with hooks, the other without.
I think these turned out pretty well, even though on one of them you can see gaps. The wood was warped and I had to made due with what I had on hand. There is a cut list below for my shelf, which is 27" long. But you can make your shelf whatever size that fits your needs.
With that said, please enjoy this video and don't forget ti Like, Share and Subscribe.

Cut List: Remember...a 2" x 2" is actually a 1.5" x 1.5"...1" x 6" is .50" x 5.5"
**also, I ran my 2x2s through a planer because they were looking rough, so now they are 1.25 x 1.25**
1x6:
1 @ 27"
1 @ 24.25"
2x2:
2 @ 5.5"
2 @ 7" then Miter cut 45° short side @ 3.5" long side @ 6" (this was hard for me to explain, as I am NOT good with angles. I hope you understand what i'm saying)
I got this tool at Home Depot. This thing was amazing and made quick work at painting stair railing. Definitely check it out!

Hey Everyone! Living in beautiful Charleston SC, you end up spending a lot of time outdoors enjoying life. So why not make that time even better with your very own Corn Hole set!
Here's a little story. I love playing corn hole and the first time I every really played it was a few years ago at work. It was employee appreciation week and teams could sign up for the Corn Hole competition. I really wanted to join, so I convinced my supervisor to be my teammate. Not sure how many people signed up, but there were a lot and at the end we came in 2nd place! that was pretty good from not knowing what I was doing. Fast forward to the next year and we won 1st place! woohoo!
I've been addicted ever since and always wanted to create my own boards. took a few years to make because I was afraid of messing them up, but the more I built, the more confidence I had.
This build, I didn't want to build without any plans, because I wanted to get this right. A few years ago I was scouring Pinterest, I came across RougeEngineer.com where I found free DIY plans to make my very own Corn Hole boards. I pinned it and today, I decided to share this easy build with you. I will put a link below for the full plans and everything you will need for this build. I hope you enjoy the video and ask questions if you have any.

Hey Everyone!
Here is a quick video on how I make Fire Starters! These are super easy to make and perfect for starting fires!
The biodegradable cups are clean burning and no harsh smells. So you can use them in your fire place, wood burning stoves and for your fire pit. So while you build one of my projects, keep your sawdust and wood shavings, and make yourself some fire starters!
Thank you for watching this quick video! Please like, share, leave a comment and subscribe if you haven't already!

Hey Everyone!
This video is dedicated to my Totes-Bestie, Forrest and our annual Hocus Pocus movie nights.
It is officially FALL! I'm beyond excited. Cooler weather, pumpkin patches and Scary movies! Oh and our yearly trip to the mountains!
This video is for all you crafters out there. I show you how to make and assemble a wooden bead garland with a Halloween twist. This is a super easy project and you definitely don't have to use any power tools. You can purchase wooden cut outs at any craft store or on Etsy. The wooden beads and twine can also be purchased at your local craft store. I will link below to the ones I got. They come in all different sizes. For this garland I used 20mm and 16mm beads.
I hope you enjoyed this arts and crafts video and if you are a fall/Halloween lover like me, I hope you give it a try!
As always, thank you for watching. Please Like, Share and Subscribe! Follow me on Instagram as well for behind the scenes.
PS. Painting is not going well. But hopefully we will be actually starting the kitchen this weekend. So I will not have an actual build for you for a while. Lots of stuff happening over here at the Hill house. Also, vacation coming up. I may do a video of the Camp site and area we are staying at. For those in our neck of the woods that might like to visit. So stay tuned!

New hummingbird feeder and changing out the nectar every five days brings the hummingbird birds to the yard!
This video is just for fun. We have a ton of birds that come to our feeders. Squirrels too. but even since I got a new hummingbird feeder, this little guy has shown up. I was finally able to get a video of him. This is the smallest bird of the Carolinas. It's called a Ruby-throated Hummingbird. The males, are tiny iridescent green birds with a black throat patch that reflects bright ruby red in the sun. The females, sane as the male, but lack the black patch.
They are super cool to watch! So happy I got this feeder. Hope everyone is having a fantastic day. Happy Labor Day!
