This is the shortened version of 19+ minute video found at Designerretainer.com on how to make a Wraparound soldered to adams clasps. This only covers the wire bending and soldering process of the construction of the appliance. You can view how to do the acrylic process by viewing my other videos on my channel.
I was asked to replace bands on a Compact RPE. I was previously asked to fit bands for this RPE a few weeks ago. Looks like they did not fit well. I cant win them all! :) But they have done the right thing, and have fit bands on the patient and then sent those bands and the RPE and model back to me and I am to replace the bands on the RPE. So we know these bands will fit 100%!
I have a couple of methods for doing this and I will try and show them both here.

This video is of the wire bending of the MD retainer. Bending wire distal of the 4's makes crossing the occlusion to the lingual side a little tricky! You can tell it took me a few tries to get it like i like (plus i edited out a few more minutes that you didn't see ;). But the doctor likes it that way so that he can have wire touching the 3's, therefore, more control of them. Also adding acrylic the the labial bow 3-3- really helps maintain tooth position and increases retention.

I have a few RPEs to get out today, so I thought I would revisit my welding and soldering techniques. I'm always looking to improve these methods.
I am slo trying different ways for yall to see the welding in action, As I have to use a microscope to see what Im welding, I have to figure out how to set up the camera so you can see what I see.
I am making a 4 arm RPE and a 2 arm "Compact"RPE
I have already fit the bands, but in the Patreon aftertream I will be showing my band selection/ fitting process.

I decided to replace the IPA (Isopropryl Alcohol) in my Form Wash after 9 months of use. It wasnt necessarily needing to be changed because the concentration of the IPA when down (As shown by the Hydrometer test I did) but was just dirty from all the uncured resin that was in it.

Here is a "quick tip" video showing how to set an expansion screw into a retainer. This video shows how to create a "trench" in the dental model and place the plastic tab of the expansion screw in wax, so that it will hold it position while you apply acrylic.
