Sometimes tasks required manually tracking items, I made a small tool for quickly jumping to the next keyframe or jumping x amount of frames. A slider to quick-check 10 frames before and after. hook this to Hotkey makes life so much easier.
Maya Sequencer is actually useful for all layouts for modelling tasks.
with some UI improvement, I am able to switch between multi-cameras, load animation range,
adjust image plane, ....etc.

the first prototype is very hard to control, so I have redesigned a better way to use it. After a few more tests, I think I got to a point it feel natural. It acts more like drawing the line, and auto exits the tool when selection is a full loop. Also, figure out a way to make undo work, in case accidentally select an unwanted result. Now, I need to try and test on the more complex shape and real-life task to see if it's solid enough. There is still a bug that I can not undo more than once.....don't know how to fix it yet.
I need to think a better Name for the tool as well :)

linkGen is a tool to create a curve between two objects.
how does it work? script uses the open hole as the direction and tries to link to another open hole of another selected object.
if you running it in Maya 2022, you can check the sweep box, then it automatically creates cables with a sweep note.
