Chapter 2 of The Complete Guide to Playing Tabletop Role-Playing Games, Online. Today I discuss the perogative of a group to use Virtual Tabletops--as much of them, or as little of them as suits you best. There are other videos that will tell you WHAT they *think* the next edition of D&D will be like. There are other videos that will tell you where they *wish* future RPGs would go. But what's actually pushing D&D 6E, or any other RPG's new edition?
Making a new RPG is a big deal. Sometimes the market or the corporate overlords of the designers puts these these forces front and center. Other times, these forces act on a purely subconscious level. And keep in mind it's still AWESOME to see the kinds of games that swim upstream and cut their own new Road in the Tabletop RPG future.

Some of them ask you to pick a class and a level, some are wide open for anything the player can think of; others are more specific. Some ask you to wend the path of the character's life to the day that they're ready to set out for (adventure). (Adventure)?....Well, that's whatever each particular RPG suggests to the GM and Players will be the substance of play.
