"I oppose affirmative action. But I also oppose legacy admissions, I oppose any kind of process or system that tries to degrade us from the principle of merit that our country was built upon. We're founded upon excellence. That's what the American dream is....That is a universal Maxim with which we should be striving to."
In this episode of ATL:NOW, I am joined by board member of Students for Fair Admissions Kenny Xu, plaintiff in a landmark federal case against Harvard and the University of North Carolina. This week, the Supreme Court ruled that the universities' affirmative action policies discriminate against Asian-Americans and are a violation of the constitution.
"It's a big decision. This means that Americans can rest easy knowing that they will be treated based on the content of their character, not the color of their skin at a critical time of their life, which is college admissions. At least they will know that their race cannot play a factor for or against them, which is something they can't control," says Xu.
Xu explains that the verdict is actually a win for both Asian-Americans and Black students.
"At UC Berkeley, after they banned affirmative action, the Black kids went down briefly, but the Black graduation rate went up. And actually, the number of Black bachelor's degrees remain the same. Isn't that exciting?," asks Xu. "Affirmative action...all it does is it mismatches kids into places where they could thrive in another school. It's not about the prestige of your school. Most educators, and even the left know that it's about what you do with it."
Affirmative action programs, which include DEI and CRT, are in opposition to the idea of meritocracy, argues Xu.
"Asians choose to focus on academics. Some people choose to focus on sports. Some people choose to focus on art. Some people choose to focus on business. You should allow people to receive the rewards in their efforts, wherever it goes," says Xu.

“The EU institutions—the way they’re structured, the way they interact—it's not only undemocratic, it's downright anti-democratic. And on top of that, it’s not a mistake they made. It is by design.”
In this episode, I sit down with EU parliament member Christine Anderson. She represents the Alternative for Germany party and is part of the Identity and Democracy Group in the European Parliament.
Everyone that is not in support of whatever globalist agenda is being advocated for or pushed at the moment is given the label “far-right,” says Ms. Anderson.
We discuss the current cultural and political threats facing Europe, from surging immigration and anti-Semitism to censorship, along with the erosion of national sovereignty and identity.
“We're so overrun, and it's almost like we have these parallel societies,” says Ms. Anderson. “On top of all of that, we are being taught to hate our own way of life, to hate our culture. Why would anyone want to integrate into a society that hates itself?”
Ms. Anderson believes the hope for Western democracies lies in Eastern Europe and America, where the people have learned to fight for their freedom.
“They have learned to defend it and they have an understanding that it needs defending on an everyday basis,” she says. “The Western European spoiled brats—it’s kind of like freedom/democracy fell out of the blue sky on one fine day and boom, there it was.”

“They want systemic lawlessness. They want high retail theft. … It’s manufactured, managed decline. Managed decline from eviction moratoriums. Managed decline from defunding police. Managed decline from $950 you can steal from stores, not being able to catch people,” says Seneca Scott.
“Mega billionaires are giving money to defend the police movements. The same individuals are the largest investors in AI autonomous security,” Mr. Scott says.
He has been documenting how Oakland, California became, as he describes it, an “urban hellscape.”
Once a progressive Democrat and labor organizer who represented thousands of union workers in California, he says woke ideology took over the labor movement, and it stopped representing the actual needs of workers.
“That’s when I saw that we were being used by the mega billionaire class as very useful idiots for a very nefarious agenda of control,” Mr. Scott says. He argues the elites are pitting the upper middle class against the lower class and promoting class warfare.
Now, Mr. Scott is the founder of Neighbors Together Oakland and sees himself as a “post-partisan solutionary.”

“We've forgotten to protect children's innocence, and that's a key part of the Marxist strategy to destroy our country, is to subvert the innocence of our sons and daughters,” says Ms. Wheeler. “Social Emotional Learning is one of the most interesting parts of how the Marxist ideology is reaching everyone's children.”
What are the key ways in which the far-left takes power, and how have they been successful in re-engineering society? Why might the concept of “neutrality” actually be a trap?
“We’ve fallen for this idea that we shouldn't insert any kind of values or moral order into our society, that we shouldn't use government—[the] just authority of government—to help create this moral order. And because of that, we've withdrawn our values from a lot of these institutions that have been captured,” says Ms. Wheeler. “The Republican Party has embraced libertarianism as conservatism, but it’s not.”
