LEARN KIKONGO | RELIGIOUS WORDS/PHRASES | Lesson 7 Hello Family! You guys know I have always been passionate about showcasing the amazing culture that Congo has and this video is another step forward to achieving that goal. In today’s video, I teach you some KIKONGO words that you will hear in a religious context. Kikongo was an official Language spoken in the Kingdom of Kongo, which was a Kingdom made of Angola, The Republic of Congo, Gabon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo way before the colonial era. After the colonial era, the countries separated and developed their own versions of the Language. Hence, the version of Kikongo spoken in the DRC is different to the ones spoken in The Republic of Congo and in Angola. I encourage you to learn more about the Kongo Kingdom when you can.
