Unity's new Unite Runtime Fee has caused quite a stir in the game development community. In this video I explain what those changes are, how people are reacting to them, and give my own thoughts on them.
In this video for absolute beginners, I introduce the concepts of loops, signals, get_node and call_deferred in GDScript for Godot 3.2.
These core concepts are the fundamental building blocks of every programming language, and once you have mastered these key programming for beginners concepts you will have built a solid foundation to continue your game development journey.
I would highly recommend you visit the official GDScript documentation for further reading: https://docs.godotengine.org/en/3.2/getting_started/scripting/gdscript/gdscript_basics.html

In this video I take you behind the scenes on my FPS/Tower Defense game in Godot entry to the Ludum Dare 46 game jam competition.
Ludum Dare is a 72 hour game jam for indie game devs around the world and inspires thousands of people each year to produce their very own video game.
Due to time constraints this year, I unfortunately had very little time to participate but I wanted to share my progress with you all and hopefully you can take some inspiration that even in a short amount of time you can make your very own video game!

This year I'll be speaking at the JS GameDev Summit '23, where I'll be sharing my insight and expertise in the effect social features can have on your game's player retention and monetisation opportunities, as well as diving into a practical demonstration of how you can add social features to your game using the hugely popular Nakama open-source game back end by Heroic Labs.

Learn how to add 3D Pathfinding in Godot using Navigation Mesh in your projects by following this simple Godot tutorial.
You'll learn how to move a KinematicBody using the Navigation and NavigationMesh nodes in Godot. You could use this technique in a number of different games, for example an RTS or MOBA in Godot where you click to move around the map, or for controlling enemy pathfinding AI in Godot.
