How to replace a Subaru alternator. This process is very similar for most vehicles, though the alternator will be in a different position and the belt routing and tensioning setups may vary. This video will be especially helpful for vehicles with longitudinal engines, such as most rear wheel drive vehicles, many all wheel drive vehicles, and most trucks. If you have any questions about how to change an alternator, please let me know! The vehicle in this video is a 1993 Subaru Impreza, but the process is almost identical for most Subaru vehicles. Once you are familiar with the process, this swap is easy and can be done in less than 15 minutes.
