Good lord this was a bitch to do. For some reason or another AVS was not happy with the file formats that came out reversed from AVIDEMUX and it took me almost 14 hours of testing and rendering to get this to work, so I hope you enjoy it! Be sure to stick around for a special outro as well! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsZoepNmW7E
Just thought I'd toss this up for anyone wanting to see more of my mod to RA2 in action.
I was playing around on a skirmish map the other day and I thought that maybe the great insane awesomely craziness ridiculousness that was experienced would be of entertaining value. The AI is continually impressing me in new and different ways.
So it starts in the middle of the game, and shows off some of the strangeness and adaptability the AI has to my stuff. I was just fooling around in my down-time playing with this. It also shows off how vicious the AI is now that I've tweaked its settings. Also note wildly rollercoastering money funds. Go from 40K to 0 then back up again. The AI also tends to go after my Engineer IFVs, which is great, it shows they recognize higher value targets beyond firepower.
And yes, Yuri's stuff is still stupidly overpowered.
No commentary on this one. Map - Arena

"We have to navigate through the city... jungle of boxes."
I have been longing to do this one for a long time, I know I already did a straight playthrough but this will be a lot of fun. This is literally the first PC game I ever played and the game that introduced me to the BattleTech world. We're going to go really deep in here and explore what makes MechWarrior 2 such a classic.

You guys are gonna love this one.
"Plus one bonus to heat sinkerage... sinkerage, that's a word right?"
MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries is a stand-alone game that really kicked the MechWarrior franchise into overdrive. Now the campaign is dynamic, because you're the one choosing the contracts, and it all plays out just before the Clan Invasion. You get to play a role in various conflicts of your choosing, and it's all so full of BattleTechness it's probably out of critical slots. A few quick notes to get you up to speed on what I'll be doing, after all, speed is life. You go slow, you die. I'll be playing the original DOS version with my original Mercenaries CD, so you'll be getting the real authentic experience as if you'd just opened the box like it were September 30th, 1996, just like I did because I'm friggin' old! I'll probably be saving and dying a lot, I'll try to play out as many missions as possible, because I don't want this to just be any other run-through. Mercenaries was a stand-alone game, so there are some gameplay adjustments. You have a new EVA, the weapons all sound new, you can have up to five groups of weapons, mechs can fall down (that's bad, by the way), and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.
Also super special thanks to Sarna.net for providing the various extra graphics and such.
And also it wouldn't be a proper Mercenaries video without me selling out so check out my book at https://www.rabbitvalley.com/item/9574/Foxhunt-By-Rich-Hanes or Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Foxhunt-Rich-Hanes/dp/0578026058/ and you can read the first chapter for free at https://www.writing.com/authors/l1011widebody as well as some other stuff, if you like BattleTech and MechWarrior you will definitely love my writing!

Hey, you guys like my Let's Plays, Longplays, Writing, and other random things I do, right? Maybe you'd consider sponsoring me on Patreon? All I ask is a $1 a month contribution. It doesn't sound like a lot, but if enough of you guys help out it will go a long way. Head over to patreon.com/l1011widebody if you want to help a Trijet out.

Pretty much just part 1-A...
More or less just a random 'talkie' video, talking about my current thoughts, what's going on with the channel, what to expect in the future, and other such things.

Character creation! So much fun. So many options.
This time I'm going to be playing not just Fallout 2, Interplay's sequel to the smash RPG Fallout, but I'm also going to be playing the Restoration Project. The Restoration Project is a mod created by the No-Mutants-Allowed user Killap, designed to add back in much of the content that was cut from Fallout 2 due to time constraints. It also fixes multiple bugs and adds some additional graphics features.
Your home, the village of Arroyo, is dying. The tribe founded by the original Vault Dweller from Fallout needs you to venture into the Wasteland to retrieve the fabled Garden of Eden Creation Kit, a device said to 'bring life to the Wasteland'. Along the way you'll meet more strange mutants, unique characters, and even some old friends. You'll even get a chance to revisit some of the locations from Fallout 1... but the Wasteland has changed in the last 80 years...
