Today in Denver there is a parade in honor of the Avalanche winning the Stanley Cup against Tampa Bay's "Lightning". However as of this video it was raining lightly and earlier there had been some lightning and thunder. Hmmm. Bad karma? Or perhaps Tampa Bay prayed for rain in Colorado to dampen our spirits. At any rate I don't think the rain is gonna stop the celebration. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjKWaT_cDx8
I actually was a latecomer to the EDM party. I actually thought my musical tastes topped out sometime around 2009, with a very few songs actually making my music radar go off. Had I finally reached that point where people get when they no longer can get into anything new as it's just too different? To think I felt that way about Alternative Rock which I absolutely loathed during most of the 1990s. I finally became tolerant of it in late 1998 and started adding it to my cassette mix tapes. Even thought Alternative was about as off-limits to me as North Korea is off-limits to US citizens, a few songs skirted my "sanctions".
I actually got into EDM in late 2017 - with a little help from doing something else I never thought I would do again. I fell in love! No and it was not Kim Jong-Un. He was still 5 months out, hee hee. Anyway, EDM would become the soundtrack to those times and associated with the one who was the apple of my eye. It was immaterial whether or not the person liked that kind of music, it just happened to be the music that was being heard most of the time. Like Alternative, few EDM tunes flew under the radar as well prior to it blowing up, such as Swedish House Mafia with "Don't You Worry Child" or Jason Derulo with "Cheyenne" - if that's even EDM.
Well as of 2022, I am feeling like the genre has become watered down. While some may say it became watered down long before now, I have always liked when a genre that is more "out in left field" becomes more - as they say - "accessible", and that usually means when it becomes more "mainstream". Unfortunately when that happens things tend to go from "out in left field" to the "extreme right". No I don't mean politics. I've remember when House was new and it was mostly instrumental, but as it became more popular, different artists would adopt some elements of the dance music - or their songs remixed into it - and this made House more enjoyable. I could only tolerate so much of House in it's "pure" state for so long before it started sounding monotonous and repetitive. Think of drinking straight Whiskey or even Espresso. After awhile it may start not being enjoyable. Now when you add it so something like a cola or an ale, it adds pizazz to that in which it's being added to all the while it becoming less strong and the flavors creating something different and enjoyable.
This was how I felt about House when it was mingled with R&B or Pop artists' music in the form of being remixed (Depeche Mode with "Strange Love" as remixed by Phil Harding) or made that way (Madonna with "Vogue" as produced by Shep Pettibone). As we know, House - as it sounded in the mid-to-late 80's and what it sounds like nowadays are as different as night to day.
As for EDM, some of the acts that I have enj

I suppose they would take a tourist to the tourist places of the USA because those are the places that tourists would rather see. I guess when other countries do this, however; it because they have something to hide.

One thing that caught my eye while I was trying to find out any news about why the intersections of Colfax and Lincoln and 14th and Lincoln were blocked off, was this:
Secret Service deleted Jan. 6 text messages, watchdog agency says

Here is another story about the same thing:

With how everyone seems to be sabotaging and/or being amby-pamby about how they are treating those who trashed the Capitol (with kid-gloves), I am inclined to see this as some great conspiracy to defend those who attacked it.
This makes me think of the mess that happened just under 21 years ago in The Big Apple and how there are conspiracies saying that there were everyone from "everyday Joe" types all the way up to a top mastermind presiding over corporations and services all in cahoots. While this may sound good "on paper", which would make for a great action movie, reality begs to differ reminding us of how there are just too many "moving parts" where one part of the chain of command misses a step the whole thing can be foiled. With something like that, there would more of a chance of more than just one making such a misstep.
With the mess at the Capitol, however; I am not hearing about something that took place. Rather, I am seeing it play out in real time, from the perpetrators getting off with "slaps on the wrists" (while the American public gets insulted by news titles saying something like "Capitol Rioter Gets More Than 5 Years" as if that's anything substantial on such a monumental criminal act); hearings delayed, uncooperative lawmakers and now secret services deleting text messages? How deep is this conspiracy (that's exactly what it looks like) that is supporting these entitled perpetrators who trashed the USA's most prestigious edifice? How deep is the corruption that is hindering the probe and investigations, attempting to sabotage it?
As I am seeing this drama play out, I am inclined to think that these conspiracy theories about what happened on that fateful day just over two decades ago may have more truth to them than exaggerations.

The madness won't stop unless we stop giving it the attention it craves and therefore feeding it exacerbates the situation:
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/one-dead-two-dead-in-shooting-at-dallas-shopping-center/ar-AA11HIqv?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=1d52ac80c5d8408ca19fd5f7bcdf9881
Shootings get attention so stop covering them. Society nor the world are benefiting from us covering the shootings. Nothing is being done about them therefore why cover them? It's not doing any good. If anything, it's only making people more aggravated and angry and fueling the fire for them to do more because they know that is what is getting the news. For the sake of the collective sanity of America, Stop covering the shootings. Stop giving everybody undeserved attention.

A remake of one of my "Dueling Elevator Videos" that I made back years ago where i feature a side-by-side of two perspective viewpoints recording the same elevator at the same time.
Here we have DieselDucy and his friend Jimster586 doing an "elevator drag race", where each get into different elevators and "race" to the top floor. Actually I think GeorgeF551 was the originator of that term (but I may be wrong) as well as the "Man-Powered Elevator" dubbing of stair cases.
Anyway, it's a vintage gated elevator against a newer (now old, but not vintage) elevator with motor-operated doors.
For this remake, I panned DieselDucy's audio to the left while the audio for Jimster586's video to the right.
It's a race to the top and may the best elevator win.

Taking a run through the jungle with Lauv.
I have always imagined this song having a "Drum n Bass" or "Jungle Mix", something like what Roni Size did for Janet Jackson's "Go Deep" or Sarah McLachlan's "Sweet Surrender". Hell even Blackstreet jumped on the D&B/Jungle mix bandwagon with a Jungle mix for "No Diggity".
I guess there had been a remix contest for this song at some point - too bad I missed that one - as the stems were still available and so I jumped on it in order to realize my idea for this song.

It's an utter shame how we hold up sports and entertainment celebrities over people who really should be considered heroes. If it was not for some of these people, 2020 may have been even worse and may have gone on even longer and left more in it's wake. In some way, I can't help wishing it had been that way because people may have taken it more seriously than to act as if it was some silly government ploy to destroy our freedom.

I guess you can say I was a bit annoyed about the condition of this elevator that is located in a rather nice looking library in Arvada's "Olde Town" district which sports a few blocks with buildings from yesteryear. For starters, the elevator looked like a typical stainless steel "transit style" cab and even had the vandalism to go with it. Did the manufacturer make this elevator to look like a vandalized transit station elevator?
Anyway, this is a Schindler brand traction elevator.
