Dirty Harry Reid - Obama The Great Divider
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus had harsh words for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Wednesday, accusing the senator of using taxpayer money for partisan purposes and therefore violating the Senate's ethics policy.
On Fox News, Priebus called Reid "so dirty and so unethical," and he said Reid had violated Senate rules by posting political attacks of the billionaire Koch brothers on his official Senate website and Twitter account. The rules prohibit the "use of Senate Internet Services for personal, promotional, commercial, or partisan political/campaign purposes."
The GOP chairman said the Louisiana Republican Party has filed a letter with the Senate Ethics Committee calling for an investigation into Reid's online conduct.
"We're going to take it as far as we can to make sure people understand that this guy will stop at nothing to lie to the American people," Priebus said.

Early on he took the low road, inflaming resentments, demonizing his critics, and, yes, pitting red Americans against blue Americans. A leading House Democrat has been following me around for days. OK, not literally - but his words have stuck in my head and I can't shake them loose.
Last week, just before leaving on a month-long recess, Rep. Van Hollen (D-MD) declared, with much indignation and more than a twinge of bitterness, that they would not let the health care reform debate be "swiftboated."
That makes for a nice sound bite that appeals to the party's left wing but irritates most of America. And therein lies the Democrats' problem with getting more people to back their health care effort. When questioned on the merits of their proposal, they fall back on what makes them most comfortable-- appealing to the far left of their party. But this comes at the expense of everyone else -- they have consistently ignored the legitimate questions of the vast majority of the population, preferring to duck the tough questions and instead to make others the bad guy.

Rise in threats against Justin Trudeau, police warn
Figures from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) show there were 130 threats against Mr Trudeau and ministers from January to July.
This is a jump from 100 threats made in the same period in 2019.

The Archdiocese of San Francisco is under attack from the San Francisco Board of Supervisors for insisting that Catholic schools teach Catholic doctrine.
It seems the Board of Supervisors is upset over a morality clause that includes language against homosexuality, same-sex marriage and contraceptives. They unanimously passed a resolution rebuking the Catholic Church and demanding the archbishop ignore Catholic doctrine and respect the rights of teachers and students.
Supervisor Mark Farrell, who sponsored the anti-Catholic resolution, said the archbishop's policies conflict with the values of San Francisco.
I just have one question: Where in the United States Constitution does it give the city of San Francisco the right to tell the Catholic church what they should or should not put in their employee handbooks?

As for all you disgruntled Catholic school teachers, if you can't abide by Catholic doctrine, go work someplace else. Government has no right to meddle in the affairs of the church, and that's the gospel truth.

Now that the Ontario Liberal Party has a majority in government and no election is in sight, Premier Kathleen Wynne has "coincidentally" announced that in the fall of 2015, she will reintroduce the graphic Sex Ed Curriculum that had outraged parents in 2010.
Back then, parents and religious leaders came out angrily against Liberal plans to teach early grades about age-inappropriate topics like masturbation, anal intercourse, oral sex, vaginal lubrication, and the idea that being male or female is merely a “social construct”. So strong was the backlash that McGuinty “shelved” the curriculum after only 3 days of public outcry.
At the time, CLC warned that the curriculum was only “temporarily” shelved and would return. Kathleen Wynne proved us right by putting this at the top of her agenda at a time when it cannot hurt her at the voting booth. She announced the reintroduction in October 2014, but refused to let the public see the document for months. She even held a farcical "public consultation" in which hand-picked parents were invited to give feedback on the curriculum - without actually being able to see the "new" curriculum.
