Void Linux (Cinnamon) on my ThinkPad T450 - packages a tweaks I do after the install, such as how to cancel or reduce mic sound noise, improving battery performance and such. Void Linux doesn't come with a lot of packages, so I install an archive manager, image viewer, pdf viewer, text editor etc. Also I make it possible taking screenshots.

If you're not a nerd, don't watch this video. Also, if you care about your time on this planet in this life - don't play Paperclips. Seriously.

One problem nagged me for a week, and I almost gave up, considered to distrohop from Debbie 4. I searched for a solution online, but didn't find it. Luckily, I found it myself. It was a wrong-fonts-in-a-wrong-directory-solution.
All I had to do is to remove TrueType fonts:
cd /usr/share/fonts/opentype
sudo rm *.ttf
All nice now. The intruder characters are gone.

After two months of using Linux I present some positive and negative sides in Linux. They are mostly very subjective and refer to my experience and view on Linux (and Windows).
TL;DR?
I talk about privacy, stability, speed, apps, flexibility, Linux community, driver installation, some games are not accessible on Linux, and it's tough switching to Linux from Windows (you need time and effort).

As a writer I have always searched for a perfect word processor. I used Word, LibreOffice, Typora etc. A few months ago I've obsessed with Emacs, watched dozens of online videos and tutorials, and I was even able to use on a basic level, but its learning curve was just extremely steep, that I eventually gave up. Even though I tried Emacs with evil mode (which means with vim-like keybinding). But it was just too hard to remember all the quirky shortcuts, macros, and commands.
A few weeks ago I then hopped onto the VIM wagon. Apparently, if you're not an Emacs follower, you are a VIMmer. I must say, that I cracked its code, after watching several videos and reading many articles and tutorials online. I even completed the wonderful Vim tutorial.
This is a video about my discovery of Vim, and how I intend to use it.
