Feathercoin, the online digital currency, will be celebrating its first offline payment at The Oxford Blue Pub on Saturday 20th July. This will be a one day event to test the long term potential. You've probably heard of Bitcoin but what most people don't know is that it is just one of many alternative digital currencies ("alts" or "cryptos" to the community) that are taking on the banking system. Organised at the grass roots level support for Feathercoin has grown out of the UK to more than 2,000 community members (best estimate) from all over the world including East Asia, the Americas and Australia since its launch in April this year.
