Alright, thank you very much. And hello again, my dear radio friend, how in the world are you? Everything going alright at your house? I trust so. Bless your heart. Nice to be back with you. This is your friend, Bob Cook. We’re looking at First Thessalonians, just finishing up our little walk through that book. And I’m grateful, believe me, to be with you, and the Word of God, in these precious moments that we invest together, in matters that are eternal.
We’ve been walking around in some concepts that grew out of Verse 25 of First Thessalonians Five, where Paul says, “Brethren, pray for us. Pray for us.” You remember, I mentioned a few prayers that seemed to be the wrong kind of praying: King Saul, and Jonah when he was in a snit, and Elijah when he was depressed, different kinds of prayers. Simon the sorcerer, who wanted to get out of the consequences of his greed, that’s the wrong kind of praying.
We mentioned, too, that prayer’s a battle. Paul says, “Strive together with me in your prayers.” Prayer is work, prayer is a battle. Anytime you wanna find that out, just decide you’re gonna spend a few minutes in prayer, and everything will happen. The phone will ring, the doorbell will ring, the dog will be outside trying to get in, or inside trying to get out, as the case may be. Everything will seem to conspire against you. Prayer is work, you have to work at it. “Strive together with me in your prayers.”

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8
Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30:
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
And in Psalm 34:18:
"The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."
How about giving God a chance? Walk with the Lord and surrender all your troubles and heartaches to Him. Let Him lead your path and see His promises come true in your life.
Romans 5:
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Hvernig væri að gefa Elohim tækifæri? Gakktu með Yahshua og gefðu honum allar vandræði þín og hjartasorg. Leyfðu honum að leiða þig og sjá loforð hans rætast í lífi þínu.

De sa da: Hvad er dette han sier: Om en liten stund? Vi forstår ikke hvad han mener.
Yahshua visste at de vilde spørre ham, og han sa til dem: Grunder I på dette med hverandre at jeg sa: Om en liten stund ser I mig ikke, og atter om en liten stund skal I se mig?
Sannelig, sannelig sier jeg eder: I skal gråte og jamre eder, men verden skal glede sig; I skal ha sorg, men eders sorg skal bli til glede.
Når kvinnen føder, har hun sorg, fordi hennes tid er kommet; men når hun har født sitt barn, kommer hun ikke lenger sin trengsel i hu, av glede over at et menneske er født til verden.
Således har også I nu sorg; men jeg skal se eder igjen, og eders hjerte skal glede sig, og ingen tar eders glede fra eder.
Og på den dag skal I ikke spørre mig om noget. Sannelig, sannelig sier jeg eder: Alt det I beder Faderen om, skal han gi eder i mitt navn.
Hitinntil har I ikke bedt om noget i mitt navn; bed, og I skal få, forat eders glede kan bli fullkommen!
Dette har jeg talt til eder i lignelser; det kommer en tid da jeg ikke lenger skal tale til eder i lignelser, men fritt ut forkynne eder om Faderen.
På den dag skal I bede i mitt navn, og jeg sier eder ikke at jeg skal bede Faderen for eder;
for Faderen selv elsker eder, fordi I har elsket mig og trodd at jeg er utgått fra Gud.
Jeg er utgått fra Faderen og kommet til verden; jeg forlater verden igjen og går til Faderen.
Hans disipler sa: Se, nu taler du fritt ut og sier ingen lignelse;
nu vet vi at du vet alt og ikke trenger til at nogen spør dig; derfor tror vi at du er utgått fra Gud.
Yahshua svarte dem: Nu tror I;
se, den stund kommer, og er kommet, da I skal spredes hver til sitt og late mig alene; men jeg er ikke alene, for Faderen er med mig.
Dette har jeg talt til eder forat I skal ha fred i mig. I verden har I trengsel; men vær frimodige! jeg har overvunnet verden.

Navnet "Yahshua" er det oprindelige navn på Frelseren, ofte udtalt som "Yeshua" (יֵשׁוּעַ) eller "Joshua" på engelsk. Den er sammensat af to dele:
"Yah" (יה), som er en forkortet form af "Yahavah", Guds navn på hebraisk.
"Shua" (שׁוּעַ), som betyder "frelse" eller "at frelse" på hebraisk.
Yahavah er den eneste sande Gud, skaberen af universet, og er ofte forbundet med kvaliteter som almagt, alvidenhed og allestedsnærvær.
Så "Yahshua" kan fortolkes til at betyde "Yahavah er frelse" eller "Yahavah frelser." Det er almindeligt forstået som det oprindelige navn for Jesus.
Navnet "Jesus" på latin er "Yesus", som er den latiniserede form af det græske navn "Yēsoûs. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
And in Psalm 34:18:
"The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."
How about giving God a chance? Walk with the Lord and surrender all your troubles and heartaches to Him. Let Him lead your path and see His promises come true in your life.

1 His foundation is in the holy mountains.

4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
