Home flipping has dropped to a 7 year low. In the 3rd quarter of 2019, home flipping was down to the second lowest point since 2011. Back in 2011, it was very difficult for home flippers to secure financing, and extensive regulations made it even more difficult.

When interest rates are low and prices are reasonable, you can't raise rents too much but when interest rates are high and prices are high, you have pricing power to charge more in rent. You have a scarce commodity (real estate) and EVERYONE needs a place to live.

Consumer price inflation has no direct relation to the amount of money being printed and there’s data that can back that up, going back to the 1800s.
