Anxiety and depression are both mental health disorders that can often occur together. While they are distinct conditions, there is a strong relationship between the two. Chronic anxiety can often lead to depression. Similarly, individuals with depression may experience anxious thoughts related to their depressive symptoms.

A lot of people are familiar with the verse "Seek first the kingdom of God". But what does it really mean, especially for us in our modern world?

14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” 16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. 18 But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.” 19 Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says, “I will make you envious by those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding.” 20 And Isaiah boldly says, “I was found by those who did not seek me; I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me.” 21 But concerning Israel he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people.” (Romans 10:14-21)
So many people today have yet to experience true salvation. They remain separated from God and in danger of eternal damnation. But sometimes they are not to be blamed since no one has yet told them the Gospel or has helped them to understand it. This is our responsibility as believers in Christ or as the church. We are called to proclaim the Gospel and help people understand it. Once we have done that, people are now responsible for their responses to it.

Main Idea: “Proclaiming the Gospel clearly is our God-given responsibility.” (“Ang ipahayag ang Ebanghelyo nang malinaw ay pananagutan natin mula sa Diyos.”)
What is our God-given responsibility?
Twofold
1. Proclaim the Gospel (14-17).
2. Explain the Gospel (18-21).

Right Choices | By Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
5 Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.” 6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:5-13)
Salvation is not an impossible task because with God nothing is impossible. Often, people will make it so difficult because they do not understand the simplicity of the Gospel. They want to make it complicated because they don't want to receive something that they have not worked hard for. This is no other than pride or self-righteousness. All we really have to do is make the right choices. God has done everything necessary for our salvation.

Being Faithful to God | By Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
20 The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me. 21 For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I am not guilty of turning from my God. 22 All his laws are before me; I have not turned away from his decrees. 23 I have been blameless before him and have kept myself from sin. 24 The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight. 25 To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless, 26 to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the devious you show yourself shrewd. 27 You save the humble but bring low those whose eyes are haughty. 28 You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. 29 With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. (Psalm 18:20-29)
Being faithful to God is a choice each of us must make. Unless we make this choice as our fundamental decision in life, we will not be able to experience the fullness of God's presence, power, and purpose. This choice means that we will love and serve the Lord above all else, and everything else will either be a means or a distraction toward that end.

One way to grow in our faith is by having a Sabbatical lifestyle. This means having Sabbath Moments, Sabbath Days, and Sabbatical Seasons.
Sabbath Moments are when we stop during the day to be quiet and worship God, enjoying time with Him. Sabbath Days are special days set aside for this purpose, usually on a Saturday or Sunday. Sabbatical Seasons are longer periods, like three or four months, when we focus on God to feel renewed, refreshed, and refocused. Often this is simply called a Sabbatical.

1 Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. 3 With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, 4 so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught. (Luke 1:1-4)
We live in a world of uncertainty. People are not sure about anything. This is the reason why most people would rather not commit themselves to anything. They would rather take a neutral stance. This is especially true when it comes to faith in God. Who can be sure about anything when it comes to God? There are so many different views (i.e., also called diversity). In addition, to claim that one's belief is correct versus all the others is a sign of intolerance and pride (i.e., also called plurality). This may be the reason why many Christians do not actively share their faith.

Main Idea: “Only the certainty of our faith can overcome the world.” (“Tanging katiyakan ng ating pananampalataya ang magtatagumpay sa mundong ito.”)
How can we be certain of our faith?
Three Reliable Reasons
1. The Gospel is historical in nature (v.1).
2. The Gospel is handed down by reliable people (vv.2-3).
3. The Gospel is heaven sent (notice the keywords: fulfilled, eyewitnesses and servants of the word, Theopilus, taught).

A New Kind of Slavery | Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
(Disclaimer: This topic has nothing to do with politics.)
15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! 16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey — whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. 19 I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:15-23)
God has set us free from the power or dominion of sin. Therefore, we are no longer slaves to sin. We can now say "No" to sin because of God's grace. But this freedom does not mean that we can now do whatever we want. It does not mean that sin is no longer a problem for us. It can still enslave us all over again! The key is to understand that we are now under a new kind of slavery, one that does not imprison us but rather liberates us to truly live holy lives.
