#coronavirus #Collestrada #E45 Strada E45 domenica 15 marzo 2020 totalmente deserta a causa del Coronavirus. Il chilometro di strada più transitato del centro Italia a Collestrada (circa 40.000 veicoli al giorno), mai vista così silenziosa fin dalla costruzione, neanche ai tempi di forti nevicate o con la nostra Nazionale in finale ai mondiali di calcio. Nella ripresa la Casina Piceller, un piccolo edificio che si trova tra Ponte San Giovanni e Collestrada “schiacciato” tra la E45 e la strada statale. La sua costruzione è dovuta alla passione antiquaria di Alessandro Piceller, proprietario di alcuni poderi nella zona che sul finire dell’ottocento fece costruire questa piccola casina inglobando un’edicola medievale preesistente. Si narra che l’edicola sia stata costruita in memoria della battaglia di Collestrada avvenuta nel 1202 e durante la quale venne fatto prigioniero San Francesco d’Assisi. Di questo fatto parla proprio la targa posta nel 1988 in occasione del restauro che recita: che la tradizione vuole legata alla spirituale avventura del santo poverello di Assisi Secondo altri nel medesimo luogo doveva esserci stata una torre medioevale posta a difesa delle terre di Perugia, che veniva inoltre utilizzata come deposito di offerte pecuniarie e viveri destinati ai lebbrosi ricoverati nel vicino Ospedale di Collestrada. Si sa che intorno alla metà dell’Ottocento l’edificio era di proprietà della famiglia Piceller e che, alla fine dello stesso secolo, l’eccentrico archeologo ed antiquario Alessandro Piceller la volle ristrutturata e riadattata a casetta campestre secondo lo stile del ‘400 perugino. ???
