In this video I take a look around the desktop of Makulu Linux 15 Core, It's based on Debian and has a customised xfce desktop using various components from other distros or sources, for example Makulu Core is using the Avant Window Manager (AWN) to help introduce web apps to the desktop which is really cool, also using Dock (which I'm sure is Plank?) along the bottom of the desktop and a customised xfce panel on the bottom right. it has 2 hot corners, one being on the top left which opens the Gnome Pie Menu, the other being the bottom left corner which opens the Cardapio Menu which is a simple and well featured searchable menu. Hope you enjoy the video.
In this video I demonstrate how to boot MX 17.1 on an old 32bit Laptop with the assistance of the Plop boot manager version PLPBT-5.0.15, this old Asus laptop is originally not capable of booting from USB however with the help of Plop Boot Manager it's possible, all you need is one Blank CD or DVD to write Plop to, then you can rewrite as many distros to the USB to try out without wasting many discs to boot from.

In this video I will demonstrate the many different ways of installing software in Ubuntu, this version is 19.04 Gnome edition. I will demonstrate the difference of installing applications using the Software Centre, Synaptic Package Manager and Terminal, on some occasions showing the install process of all three using the same package, I will also demonstrate installing Applications with Snap, Flatpak, AppImages, .deb files, and Binary files, this will give knowledge and a greater understanding to newer users to Linux. Hope you enjoy the video.

In this video I will be taking a look at the Fedora Installer named (Anaconda Installer) this installer is used by Red Hat, Fedora, Sabayon, CentOS, Qubes and others mentioned in the Wikipedia. First install will be a basic automatic install to hard drive (all installs are in Virtualbox) second install I have created two hard drives to demonstrate how to make a selection to the target hard drive using basic sata controller, third install I've setup two hard drives with NVME controllers to simulate my main system obviously on a much smaller scale in size, one of the hard drives I will create existing partitions similar to my actual system and attempt to install to the existing partitions with the Fedora Installer, I don't have a lot of confidence with this installer, probably because my frequency of use is very limited so I thought I would dive in and become more familiar. Hope you enjoy the video.

In this video I share with you my experience of how I managed to setup Tumbleweed prior to the Big Daddy Linux Live on Saturday 9th Feb 19 US time (2-9-19) this was after two or three attempts on my Lenovo laptop in which I was having wireless connection issues, I then settled with installing to my other desktop and had more favourable results. I did not record the original events of setting up the repositories as I needed to get them sorted before installing simple screen recorder, to my knowledge not sure if that could have been achieved beforehand. There was so much to do I attempt to take you through all the things I can remember and highlight those events to the best of my knowledge. I also take you for a quick look around the desktop. Hope you enjoy the video.

In this video I will be taking a look at a new Manjaro spin called CuteFishOS, using a new desktop called Cutefish Desktop Environment (CDE), first I tried to install in Virtualbox, all seem to be ok except after logging in after updates I experienced a very bright background which could not be changed, considering the severity of the problem I decided to continue the look around on real hardware, which was a fully updated desktop at the time of recording, a FLICKERING WARNING is to be considered if that triggers any health problems for viewers, I was unaware of this issue until I started editing the video. I booted the ISO with the proprietary option and that seem to carry through to the install with Nvidia installed upon first boot after install, this was a bonus and very effective as I experienced no screen tearing which was surprising considering my Toshiba laptop has Nvidia Optimus a very difficult card to please at the best of times. Although the CuteFish Desktop Environment seems to be lacking in some simple features it's in very heavy development standing at version 0.2, however I was impressed with it's current operation and will continue to monitor the development and watch its progress. Hope you enjoy the video.

In this video I will be demonstrating some of the most popular Things to do after installing Ubuntu 20.04, some things will be generic and some things personal to my setup. Please find some timestamps below for your convenience. I also will be demonstrating how to setup Symlinks, however I've discovered since initial install that Snap Apps do not read the Symlinked folders because of the containerisation involved, I will be considering a separate video on how to use Bind Mounts instead, which has no problem with Snap Apps reading the Home folders. Hope you enjoy the video.

In this video I demonstrate how to save a custom panel layout different to what's on offer within the Ubuntu Mate 18.04 panel layout selection, I also cover some issues regarding the full screen Brisk menu which is solved by installing dconf-editor and making a tweak or two. I also run into an issue regarding the opening and closing of the brisk menu using the Super/Windows key, not sure if it's related to my hardware only or not? I was happy with the end result hope you enjoy the video.
