Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, many of my dear friends have had shows, tours, and project cancelled. This is a huge hit to those who depend on this work for a living. Thank you for supporting our musical community! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello MandoLesson folks! My name is Mia Bertelli, and I am a singer, fiddler, and banjo player living in Belfast, Maine. Firstly, big thanks to Baron for putting this together, and for the opportunity to contribute a goofy video to this wonderful platform! It's been a treat to see the different versions of tunes and community of artists take shape through this amazing resource that Baron maintains. I'm grateful to be a part of it! I teach voice at Maine Fiddle Camp, and often sneak in a tune that we sing, which tends to become quite an epic arrangement with vocal backup parts and harmony. I find that singing tunes is one of my favorite ways to get so comfortable with a tune that I'm forced to play with it-- sometimes so comfortable that all of a sudden I find myself throwing around crochet sheep as part of the arrangement-- or maybe that's a result of quarantine and spending a long time on a new app trying to get all the parts to line up;) I don't have much of an online presence at this point, but you can contact me at miabertelli@gmail.com to schedule a Skype singing lesson, commission album artwork or other illustrations, invite collaborations, inquire about future gigs, or just say hello.
