LGBTQ activists participating in New York City's annual Drag March on Friday sparked outrage for chanting "we're here, we're queer, we're coming for your children" in a Manhattan park. The marchers, many wearing flamboyant dresses and clothing, walked through Tompkins Square Park in the East Village Friday night as part of the city's Pride Month celebrations. What was all that about? Oh nothing, just the Pride Movement announcing their plans to groom and recruit your kids. "It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones." Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Lebanese Shia Islamist group Hezbollah, addressed his followers on Friday, his first public comments since the Israel-Hamas war broke out. In Israel Netanyahu says “no ceasefire!” Since Hamas carried out the 7 October attacks on Israel, killing more than 1,400 people, Lebanon has been on edge, closely watching Hezbollah. The group has intensified its attacks on Israel, which is retaliating. But both sides have apparently taken steps to avoid a dangerous escalation, and most strikes have been limited to the border area. This, however, could change. After meeting Blinken, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel “refuses a temporary cease-fire that doesn’t include a return of our hostages,” referring to some 240 people Hamas abducted during its attack. He said Israel was pressing ahead with its military offensive with “all of its power.” “O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!“ Jeremiah 22:23 (KJB) On this episode of the NTEB Prophecy News Podcast, the global community is very much on edge right now, and for good reason. Hamas has proven themselves to be a very tricky adversary, and indeed did more damage to Israel in a single day than any other day since the Holocaust. Can Israel beat Hamas? Sure, they can, but it will take time. Hezbollah on the other hand, is much more powerful than Hamas, with 100 times the munitions provided to them from Iran and Syria. A two front war for Israel against both Hamas and Hezbollah would require the participation of the United States who is already in position, but where does that take us? You will often hear people talk about the 'Jewish roots of Christianity' but is that really an accurate statement? If you look at it from 2023 backwards it certainly would appear to be that way, but what happens if you look at it from the first century forward? Well, as you might expect, it's a completely different picture, and one that I believe to be the right one.On this episode of Rightly Dividing, is it possible to wipe away the grime and grit of 22+ centuries of religion to get an accurate look at where what we call Christianity came from? Warning, we will not be using creeds, confessions or any religious contraband from your church or anyone else's to make our case. We will get ourselves a 'Year One' update that supersedes all the realms of Protestantism, Catholicism and any other 'ism' you might possibly be able to conjure up. The modern versions of the Bible, up to and including the 'new' King James, remove the word 'charity' from 1 Corinthians 13, and replace it with 'love'. This does much damage to the passage. Your KJV 1611 Authorized Version Holy Bible retains it, and in doing so gives you one of the most powerful pictures of Jesus Christ that exist anywhere in the Bible. "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal." 1 Corinthians 13:1 (KJB) People will say they love a certain thing, love a certain person or love something that has happened to them, but the common thread in all 3 of those examples is one based in selfishness to some degree. You love what you have received. But charity, in its purest meaning, is a selfless love that is based in service to someone or something else. Now there's something else we need to consider. Did you know that Paul mentions charity 9 times in 1 Corinthians 13, that 9 is the number for fruitfulness, and that all these examples of charity are also attributes of Jesus Christ? He is the 'suffering Servant' in Isaiah, and the Son of man who came to minister in the gospels. On this Sunday Service, we take a deeper look at this very special type of charitable love that we, as Christians, ought to firmly possess.
