The Epic Games Store is a Landfill for Crypto Shovelware
How did we, as gamers, let this happen? The #Epic Games Store made an attempt to become the best gaming platform on PC by allowing #crypto games. How has that turned out for them?
Honestly, it probably hasn't hurt them much at all, because I might be the only person brave enough to ever have played any of these terrible games.
YouTube absolutely nuked the quality of the last gameplay footage and nothing I tried made it look any better. Although, you're not really missing much...
Join me yet again, as we continue our journey to play all #nftgame and #crypto games and review them from the perspective of a gamer who knows nothing and cares nothing about crypto. Today, we're taking a look at the digital trading card game, #splinterlands.
Splinterlands is one of the most popular NFT / Crypto games by playercount, but how does it play from the perspective of a gamer who just wants to play a game to have fun, not to make money?
In this video, I share my opinions and first impressions on the gameplay of Splinterlands, and make my best attempt to understand and explain the crypto economy of the game, as someone does not use or purchase cryptocurrency.
Thanks again for all of your support on my previous videos. I'm glad that you all enjoy my videos, as I'm sure you're aware how hard it is to get a regular viewership being a small YouTube channel. But, I'm continuing to do the best I can with the little free time I have to get better at making these videos, to do better research, and to make more interesting content. And it will only continue to get better.
This will be my last video of the year - I will return with new content early next year. Hope everyone has a great holiday season!

The Sandbox Metaverse is the most soulless and boring NFT Crypto play-to-earn "true ownership" Metaverse that is better than Minecraft (source: The Sandbox developers).
This video features my first impressions and a full review of another one of the largest and most popular Metaverses, The Sandbox. In 2022, the term "Metaverse" seems to be thrown around constantly, with even places like Wal-Mart and The UPS Store having shops open within the metaverse. But... what is The Metaverse? What does it look like? Can I play it today?
I hope to answer all of those questions in more, in today's episode of "Worst Crypto Game Ever?". Here I take a deep dive into the $1B crypto metaverse of The Sandbox and review it from the perspective of a gamer. Gamers are known to be a rather picky bunch, especially when it comes to games that include trendy things like Crypto and NFTs, so it's no surprise that there has been a ton of controversy surrounding NFT Games so far.
The Sandbox is an extremely unfinished game that, unlike Decentraland, hasn't actually sold out of all it's land plots. However, it seems pretty contrary to the purpose of a creative game when they limit how many players are able to buy land to... create on. Imagine Minecraft, except you can't build anything unless you spend $10 per chunk of land. And if there's no chunks left, you have to buy a chunk from someone who has raised the price 1000% in hopes some bigger fool will come along to buy it from them.
Would you play that game?
The current state of The Sandbox is hardly even a game, as the extremely basic example worlds they allow you to play for free are more depressing than they are enticing. I did mention this is a singleplayer only game, right?
Hold on to your hats for this one, folks.

Did you know that there's an upcoming #thewalkingdead #nftgame #mmorpg? No?
Well, apparently there is, and I was lucky enough to play it during their most recent playtest.
In this gameplay and review video of The Walking Dead: Empires, I give my first impressions on the game. While the ridiculous prices for the game's NFTs are unacceptable, the actual gameplay is still some of the best we've seen out of any crypto game. However, that's not really saying much, considering the competition. If you're not interested in "play to earn" or "metaverse land ownership", then I doubt you'll enjoy this game.
Nonetheless, it's all my opinion anyway. If you don't agree, make sure to let me know why down in the comments.
Thanks for watching!

Recently, the #epicgames store added 20 #crypto and NFT / blockchain games to their platform in an attempt to capture a market that Steam has entirely banned. Now, some argue that Valve is making a massive mistake by preventing these games from being listed on their platform, while others say that it's a necessary move to keep up with the "future of technology" that is blockchain.
So, who's right? Are crypto games really something that #steam is missing out on? To find out, I decided to suit up and dive in myself. I decided to play 3 games, Dino Dash, Polygod, and Striker Manager 3. The results were unsurprising, to say the least.

Today, we'll be playing one of the most anticipated #nftgame and #crypto projects of 2022, the long awaited "Fortnite Killer", #kiraverse.
Kiraverse is an upcoming metaverse third person shooter battle royale JPEG collection deathmatch blockchain crypto economy game made by "triple A" developer Param Labs. The other day, they opened their beta test to the public. I had a chance to give the game a try, and after spending a few hours in the game, I'm unimpressed.
Kiraverse looks and feels like a low effort asset flip, and the version they provided us for the beta is a very incomplete product. Also, it is literally just the Lyra Unreal Engine Starter Project, except somehow even worse. We need to stop accepting unfinished games as "betas". If your game is missing all of the features that you advertise, then you can't say it's in a beta, it's not even close to done!
Today, we also introduce the lore of the GameStop NFT marketplace. We explored another game in the past that was on this marketplace, Gods Unchained, but the volume for that game is so low on the marketplace it wasn't even worth mentioning.
I couldn't prove that Kiraverse is an asset flip, so definitely do your own research there. However, if you do manage to find an example of the assets they have used in game on the Unreal Asset store, I'd definitely be interested in seeing that!

After nearly $1.3M in fundraising and 16 months in development, #Kryxivia has finally released to the public in the form of an 'open beta'. However, it's not very good, and in fact, could be a good candidate for the "Worst #nftgame Ever".
Kryxivia manages to use #crypto to make the game more complicated, slower, and prohibitively expensive to play. The game's core gameplay loop involves grinding the same few boring "dungeons" over and over again, hoping that a rare item drops. Then, you will head directly to OpenSea to try and sell that item to some poor schmuck.
Kryxivia is probably one of the most honest attempts at creating a crypto game for the sake of creating a crypto game, and that's what makes it a perfect case study for why crypto games just don't make sense at a technical level. Everything that Kryxivia tries to do can be done better without the blockchain. The only thing a blockchain is actually able to do better, is to create a "decentralized" economy, which is completely nullified by the fact that the game is centralized anyway as the developers have complete control.
It's sad that this is actually one of the more enjoyable crypto games.

This is the true story of Kais Maalej, a man who really, really, REALLY loves #bedbathandbeyond. So much so, that he will go to any length to disprove the fake news surrounding the company's alleged bankruptcy struggles.
In this #documentary, I try my best to recap some of the failed predictions and investment advice that Kais has given over the past few months.
This video doesn't serve to harass Kais, or to rile up an army of trolls to attack him. I just wanted to show his content to a wider audience, while providing a bit of a critical analysis on his advice and his investigation methods. Kais has done some questionable, and borderline illegal things in an effort to prove that Bed Bath & Beyond won't go bankrupt, so it's not like he's immune from criticism. Also, his relentless spreading of misinformation and conspiracy theories to an audience of more than 10,000 people isn't without any victims. There are people that actually believe the things that he says, and take his investment advice seriously. Needless to say, some of them have had their lives ruined as they've now lost almost 100% of their money.
As of today, April 23, 2023, Bed Bath & Beyond filed for Chapter 11 #bankruptcy. Kais refuses to accept this, and is still spreading conspiracy theories. Most of his audience has turned on him, and hardly anyone takes him seriously now. So, is Kais nothing more than an elaborate troll, or is he really the delusional lolcow that people think he is?

i finally had the honor of playing the long-awaited #nft and #crypto game #illuvium .
How come crypto games always put all of their stats in the "graphics" category and not in "originality" or "fun" or "released"?
Maybe they should've spent less time modeling detailed butts and 8 pack abs and instead just made a fun game. But fun doesn't sell in the world of crypto, and you gotta do what you gotta do to survive.
Why do i keep doing this to myself

In case you were wondering what happened to my video "Give me $40,000: The Video Game", it's been copyright claimed by the developer. No, not because it is copyright infringing. Instead, the developer has decided to weaponize the #DMCA feature on YouTube to silence anyone attempting to show the sorry excuse for a "game" he's trying to sell. And so far, it's worked. Seems more like a #scam than a game, if he needs to silence criticism, right?
But I won't stand for this type of behavior, and any developer willing to abuse the legal system to silence legitimate criticism of their game deserves to face consequences.
The question is, will they? So far, the game has been reported to #Steam dozens of times yet it still remains. SidAlpha (who you should totally subscribe to!) has also covered this as well, and through working with him, we have discovered a history of sketchy and suspicious moves from this developer.
What happens next? Until a lawsuit is officially filed, nothing. But, even if the developer decides to back down and reinstate my video, nothing will change. He won't be punished for abusing the DMCA takedown feature, and the game will still remain on Steam, despite him breaking the site's Terms of Service by manipulating review scores and selling a game with questionably sourced assets.
