Light frost occurred October 26. Squash and cucumber plants were killed but the winter squash and some of the cucumbers are OK. Tomato and pepper foliage got nipped by the frost, but the harvest is still good and waiting to be picked. I better get busy picking! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kVABnz39Nw
Idaho Garden Girl - 25 July 2023 - Harvesting Gutter Peas - SW Idaho Zone 6b/7a
Picking and weighing the snap peas.
I did not get the Snap Peas transplanted until June 21. I mentioned on that video that I was afraid that the weather would get hot and the peas would not be able to produce a crop. Therefore, I planted them in the shade of the parsnip plants that were bolting and blooming. They have produced a crop and even have flowers to produce more snap peas in the next week or two!

The garden isn't very pretty this time of year. The snow has melted, for now. Everything looks dead. We are forecast for ten days of 40 degree weather during the day; 20 degrees at night. If it isn't too windy, I'd like to work on getting the garden beds ready to be planted. Planting will start next month with the most cold hardy crops.
p.s. The garlic I planted last fall hasn't come up yet. This is normal.
