Acts 2:14-41 gives us a record of the first evangelistic sermon in the Book of Acts. Based on the amount of space that Luke devotes for this sermon, we can assume that he intended it to be a model for us in proclaiming the Gospel.
When some thought seems good at first, especially if there is some cause associated with it, even if it is good, don't quickly assume it is from God. It's important to understand this principle.

Text: Psalm 34:1-22
The Lord wants us to grow in our faith. He wants us to become mature. This is the reason why He allows trials and tests in our lives. Becoming mature is, of course, a difficult process. He is teaching us how to be humble and teachable over time. Often, we resist because of our pride and self-centeredness. But over time, if we learn obedience through our suffering, we become more like Christ. Only in this way can we glorify the Lord.

Central Idea: “When faith is tested, humility is expected.” (“Kapag nasusubukan ang pananampalataya, inaasahan ang pagpapakumbaba.”)
How do we respond to God with humility regardless of the situation?
Three Ways
1. Bless God with your praise (vv.1-3).
2. Honor God with your testimony (vv.4-7).
3. Trust God with your submission (vv.8-22).

16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ send greetings. 17 I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. 19 Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice because of you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. 20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. 21 Timothy, my co-worker, sends his greetings to you, as do Lucius, Jason and Sosipater, my fellow Jews. 22 I, Tertius, who wrote down this letter, greet you in the Lord. 23 Gaius, whose hospitality I and the whole church here enjoy, sends you his greetings. Erastus, who is the city’s director of public works, and our brother Quartus send you their greetings. (24) 25 Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, 26 but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith— 27 to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen. (Romans 16:16-27)
Relationships are important in the body of Christ. But they are not more important than truth itself. Although we must promote relationships in the church, we must only do so in obedience to the truth. In other words, truth creates the relationship and not the other way around. We must not compromise the truth for the sake of our relationships. Our unity must come from our faithfulness to the Gospel, not just our relationships with each other.

1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night. (Psalm 1:1-2)
The path that we take determines the direction of our lives. Our direction is more important than our intentions. We must choose the right path so that we can be headed in the right direction. When we are headed in the right direction, and we persevere in it with patience and humility, we will reach the right destination by grace through faith.

Most Christians are content just to listen to sermons every Sunday. Thank God some are willing to step up to belong to a small group and become more like Christ by going through spiritual formation together with others. However, not many are willing to take the next step, which is to help build the body of Christ. Spiritual formation is not an end in itself. God wants us to be transformed for the sake of others. He wants us to be involved in ministry, whether as workers or as leaders, so that the body of Christ may be built up in love toward spiritual maturity.

Overcoming Our Fear of Persecution | By Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
Text: Luke 12:1-12
Anyone who truly wants to follow the Lord will be persecuted. Persecution comes in many forms. It may come as a subtle form of rejection from those who do not understand our faith, even from our family members or close friends. In some cases, it may come in the form of violent attacks against us because we are followers of our Lord Jesus Christ. Knowing this, we may become afraid and lose heart. We must learn how to overcome our fear of persecution.

A home is a crucial place for spiritual formation, where parents can create an environment that nurtures their children's faith through practices like prayer and reading the Bible together. By doing so, children can develop a sense of purpose and meaning in their lives, and families can make a positive impact on their communities. Let's talk about this.
