Til laddu is a very popular, healthy, delicious laddu. This is best sweet for vegans. Til seeds are very healthy to our bones. It is called ellu unde, til ke laddu, sesame laddu. This laddu can be prepared in any festival like sankranthi, Ganesh chaturthi and navaratri. There are many types of til laddu. The til laddu is one of the energy boosters to our body.
This is my favourite laddu. Since childhood I have loved this laddu. My father always brings this laddu during my childhood. The sesame laddu will melt in our mouth and aroma of cardamom and til seeds are so loving.
This laddu recipe is a combination of til or sesame seeds and jaggery. Til laddu recipes do not need much ingredients. Sesame seeds are dry roasted for a few minutes. A nice aroma will get when sesame is roasted. Tastes of laddu will increase when roast the til. Jaggery syrup is made until it forms like a ball when we drop a syrup into water. After done with syrup for aroma put cardamom powder. Add roasted til seeds and combine well until everything is combined.
After mixing everything the mixture must be little flowing consistency. For too hot we cannot make laddu. When the mixture cools down the mixture will get hard. So once mixing is done it should be flowing consistency. When the mixture is hot, grease the hand with oil or ghee to make ball size shape. Size and shape totally depends upon you. But don't make too large laddu.
Jaggery syrup is very important for this recipe. Perfect consistency is needed for syrup. This recipe is based on how you prepare jaggery syrup. If jaggery syrup is flowing or very thick the laddu will not become perfect. I am just telling the fact not discouraging someone trying for the first time.
Til laddu are stored at room temperature for one month. While storing the laddu the jar must be airtight. I prefer glass jars for longer shelf life. Eat one laddu per day. After making laddu leave for two to 3 hours for complete cool down. After cooling it down you will feel the real taste of laddu.

Cinnamon apple cake is super moist, fluffy and delicious in taste. Apple with cinnamon is the best combination for making the recipe. Now a day’s apple is most common fruit in the house. This recipe I tried for my son, he enjoyed and approved so i am sharing the recipe here.
Any variety of apple can be taken for preparing the cake. Here, i have grated the apple if you feel grating is difficult you can chop the apple into small pieces or mash the apple. Any procedure is fine for the cake. Before preparing the batter I cook the apple until water content evaporates. If the apple contains water the consistency of battery will become vary so always best to cook the apple beforehand.
While preparing the batter i used whole wheat flour instead of maida. For sweetness white Powdered sugar you are a healthier freak then switch to brown sugar or jaggery. Any sweetness is fine for the cake. Cinnamon powder is added according to your taste. Adding of cinnamon powder gives good aroma and flavour to the cake. You want more aroma and flavorful cake then add little more cinnamon powder. When you prepare the cake batter mix dry ingredients with milk. Milk give good taste fluffiness, soft texture to the cake.
For baking the cake here I used normal kadai instead of oven and cooker. This procedure is very simple. Preheat the kadai and place the cake mould and bake it. While baking flame should be in medium. Once baking is done, remove the cake mould cut into shapes.
Apple cinnamon cake does not contain any eggs and extra Ingredients. All the ingredients are easily available in the kitchen. You can bake this cake with oven, cooker or pot.

Puliyogare is one of the traditional and authentic recipes. Puliyogare is very famous in Karnataka and South India. It is very easy to prepare and healthy too. Some of the temples serve puliyogare as prasadam. The Puliyogare is nothing but tamarind rice or sour rice with simple tempering along with peanuts. The puliyogare name says that Puli means sour hence we are using tamarind pulp, Ogare means tangy and spicy. It is also called as Iyengar Puliyogare.
Puliyogare gojju or powder both are available in markets, but i prefer homemade gojju. So i already shared how to prepare gojju in detail. Gojju is combined with tamarind pulp and some roasted species along with dry coconut. Once you prepare a large quantity of gojju and store it in the fridge, you can prepare puliyogare any time.
When the gojju is available, the puliyogare rice is made within a few minutes. The Puliyogare is made with simple tempering with peanuts. Then add cooked or steamed rice along with gojju. Check whether rice and gojju combined very well. After mixing, enjoy the rice.
It can be used for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We can prepare lunch boxes easily. If the gojju is available in your hand, we can convert leftover rice into a super healthy breakfast. And it doesn't need any side dishes. If you want side dishes, you can offer curd, papad or kosambari along with Puliyogare.
Puliyogare has a longer shelf life compared to other rice recipes so we can easily take it out for long travels. So it is also a travel friendly food. Puliyogare has a lot of protein and fibre.

Chana salad is an easy recipe and packed with a lot of nutrients. This salad is colorful and flavourful. The salad is very good for our health. I am always ready to prepare salads because it is healthy, colorful, tasty and stomach filler for long hours. So this salad helps to reduce weight loss.
Chickpea salad is great with a simple dressing of mixing lemon juice, olive oil and crushed pepper. Olive oil gives amazing taste to our taste buds and it have lot of health benefits. If you don’t have olive oil you can use sesame oil or other oil instead of coconut oil. Coconut oil does not give that much taste to the salads. My suggestion for salads is when you are tempering then coconut oil is fine otherwise i prefer olive oil.
Chana salad is very attractive in color because it is loaded with cucumber, onion, tomatoes, coriander leaves and capsicum. In addition you can add your desired vegetables like carrots, corn or others.
While cooking chickpeas, beforehand we need to soak very well. I always soak in large quantities and cook in a pressure cooker. Then I will store it in the refrigerator and use it whenever I prepare salads or any curry. This helps to make salads easy on busy schedules or busy days.
Chickpea is very healthy, it includes fiber, protein, iron, zinc and vitamins. Chickpea salad is vegetarian and vegan food. It can be served for lunch, dinner, snacks or a picnic spot. It is a dairy free salad so everyone can have this salad.

Ridge guard is a vegetable which is a dark green colour from outside, white pulp and white seeds embedded in spongy inside. Before cutting the ridge guard removes the harder outer layer.
The ridge guard dosa is instant recipe prepared from normal rice dosa batter, added with coriander seeds, red chillies, jeera, jaggery, grated coconut for masala. Coconut and jaggery gives sweetness, chillies for spiciness. So that outcome of batter has been colourful. Once peeled cut the ridge guard into thin round slices. Put the slices and individually take slices and form a dosa in hot tawa.
The ridge guard dosa is very tasty. Ridge guard dosa can be eaten as it is or can be with simple coconut chutney. This recipe, I have learnt from my uncle, now this is favourite to my husband too.
