Recorded in 2020 because I started coming up with my own lyrics to the Toredor march while stuck in my head....then recorded on BandLab. This is sort of a "Hardcore"/"Punk" version.

Playing my original copy of Yoshi for the NES from 1993, on an actual NES. I've had this cart since it was new. There's a lot less commentary on this one since it was played late late late at night, so I had to whisper.

Last December, I got a crazy idea to build a Mosrite copy after having G.A.S. for one for awhile (and unable to afford the cost of even a Univox or one of those other copies), so I used my skillset to cobble something together out of a bit of pine, and some spare parts.
NECK: 2004 Kay KE-17 Neck
TUNERS: Kluson Revolution F Mount Split Shafts
BODY: Home Built Mosrite Style body made by staring at pictures of Kurt Cobain and Ricky Wilson's guitars & using guitars from my collection as tracing patterns to recreate something close to Semie Moseley's shape
PICKUPS: First Act ME-437 (neck), First Ace ME-636 (Bridge), modified with a series link cable to allow the pickups to operate in split, humbucker, and SERIES operations
BRIDGE: Washburn Wonderbar vibrato (because I can cam it to be similar to a Mosrite vibrato)
PICKGUARD: TAP Plastics ABS Haircell Anti-Scratch, an idea I lifted from Loverboy's Paul Dean, he used it on another favorite of mine, the Odyssey/Hondo Paul Dean II, I like the look, and it wears well
Very happy with how this came out, it's like having a metal beast, surf machine, and grunge beast all rolled into one solidbody monster.
An ionteresting tidbit is aside from the routing the ENTIRE body was made using hand tools - just a pull saw, and a coping saw, sandpaper, and my two arms.
