Here are the latest questions:
WonderfulLins on YouTube
Hi Paul. Our church is currently live streaming and we're using a live streaming host (smith media group), we are currently not overlaying the song lyrics, sermon points, etc on the screen, but we want to. We are using ProPresenter 6 and have a Cannon Vixia g10 camera. We also have the black magic intensity extreme. We purchased the SDI Module for ProPresenter but I am having struggles on getting it hooked up and working. Do we need a black magic decklink card to do this? OR can we do it with the intensity extreme? If we need the decklink do we also need to purchase a video switcher? In the future we will have multiple camera's so if anything I would like to future proof our investments. Do you have any advice on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

On today's Tech, No Babel: Quick tips for taping down cables
1. Tape in straight lines as much as possible and then use 90 turns when it's not.
2. Use the right tape. Duct tape is fine. Painters tape isn't. Gaffe tape is the best, though.

http://TrinityDigitalMedia.com/thfc On today's Tech Help for Churches, Podcasting: File compression and audio compression
People use a single term (compression) for two different things: file compression and audio compression.
[tweet "When someone talks about audio for a podcast, they'll talk about compression. Click here to learn about both kinds:"]
Audio compression uses either software or hardware to compress the differences between very loud signals and quiet ones. You do this to keep people from constantly raising and lowering the volume to make quiet parts louder only to make loud parts quiet moments later.

Last Wednesday, Renewed Vision announced a new version of ProPresenter. The main change is the inclusion of ProContent. In today's tutorial, I'll show you all that procontent has to offer, how to use it (even without Pro7.13), and more. One thing I forgot to say is that the license is a PER ORGANIZATION one, so when you make the account, use an email and password you can share with other ministries (in your same church, like the children's ministry or youth) and other campuses (of your church, assuming they're part of your organization).

http://TrinityDigitalMedia.com/church-tech On today's Tech Help for Churches: 5 ways to take your church's blog to the next level
1. Better titles
A title isn't just a short sentence that tells what a post is about. It's also an attempt to persuade people to read what you've written, created, etc. Sometimes a slight tweak in the title will get you to read something. This show is called "5 ways to..." because people are more likely to read a list than a huge post. The list makes it easier to skim. The title tells them that it's easier to digest.
2. SEO & keywords
It's easy to think that you're above the evils of SEO and keywords, but think of it as just using the right synonyms that people are looking for. At my church, we call the announcement time "Strategic Matters" or "Strat Mats" for short. If I was writing about that time, I'd call it something like "Getting the best impact from your announcement time at church" not "strat mats". The reason is because people might be looking for "announcement help," but I'd bet almost no one is looking for "strat mats.
3. Numbered lists
Lists are easier to digest. I can skim a list. I can decide if I want to dive deep into it. I can even take notes just by writing down the list. It has so many advantages.

http://TrinityDigitalMedia.com/thfc On today's Tech Help for Churches, Podcasting: The brand of microphone most churches shouldn't use for their podcasts
In 2005, when podcasting was just beginning, podcasters rushed to try and find microphones that they could connect to computers and record with. One of the most popular lines of microphone was the Blue line. The Blue snowball was particularly popular.
[tweet "Avoid buying this brand of microphone if your church is podcasting, no matter what you hear about its quality:"]
Here's the problem though. Both the Snowball and the Yeti are condenser microphones. In a controlled environment, that capture beautiful sound. Unfortunately, most churches don't have dedicated studio space that's been treated to get the best sound. As a result, condenser microphones get not only the sound you want, but other background sounds as well.
