It's been a while since I uploaded something to my secondaty ravers channel & I thought maybe it's time for a little more "Donk"/"Wigan Pier"/"Bouncy", a sound that some think is cheesy because sellout acts like Milk Inc cheesed it up with piss poor slowed down remixes of hardcore songs, and a lot of the cut n paste shit on Clubland...Still I had a soft spot after hearing this Veteran spinner play, and ended up buying this and a few of the NRG series. Alex K, aside from remixing thousands of trax into respectable tunes, also had the knack of finding a balance between Bouncy, Trance & Hardhouse, while appealing to Old Skoolers by sampling the hell out of 90's rave anthems, using them effectively. This sound largely became the backbone of the genre, and even made it viable for hardcore ravers, as the Bonkers resurgence died down.
That's why I think it belongs on this channel more than @Rave_Archive:e

WE BEGIN: BONKERS (Vol.1), The successful series that essentially chronicles the sound of "Post-Rave Scene" mid-late 90's Hardcore up to it's apparent death (HWND as we see again in the 2022 re-egnition of the Old Skool Sound). Initiated by React, 1 of my fave labels that brought a variety of great music, outside of the deliberately ignored Mixmag/Radio1 institutionally approved "trendy": sounds (with the exception of John Peel, Annie Nightingale, Grooverider, Fabio & Danny Rampling of course), which deserved to acknowledged for it's loyal dedicated fanbase.
