War Thunder Patch 1.49/1.70.1945 round up Episode 2
Welcome back to another episode of the Patch 1.49 round up series! In this episode we look at more content in the dev blog, such as new maps, American tank destroyers and more!
In todays episode we continue our look at Japanese Tanks that need adding to War Thunder, focusing on Japan's most advanced late war designs, such as the Type 5 Ke-Ho light tank, the Type 5 Ho-Ru tank destroyer and a Type 5 Na-To variant armed with a Japanese produced variant of the Pak 41, the Type Ge.
Overall these tanks would be a great boon to the Japanese Tank Tech Tree, giving access to more advanced tank desgins, helping to fill in some gaps in the tech and allowing players to use and learn more about these rather obscure vehicles.

With the official annoucement devblog released, we now have a little bit more information on the Finnish Tank Subtree being added to War Thunder.
In this video I take a look at some of this new information, which for most part seems very good and alleviates some of the concerns I had about the lack of unique Finnish vehicles such as the Vickers 6 Ton and BT-42.

With the release date for 1.47 coming ever nearer, I decided to record and release any saved replays from between 1.45 and 1.47.
As it turns out most of these were from crash landings, though also include 2 planes surviving collisions and a 1.2km kill against an AI tank.

The QN 506 is a Chinese light tank that is somewhat similar to the Russian BMPT Terminator in that both vehicles feature an unmanned turret, with the crew instead housed entirely within the hull.
It is also the main ground forces prize for the Repair Factory Crafting Event and so far appears to be the most desirable of all the prizes offered, with many people having already unlocked it and offering it for sale on the War Thunder market.
But is it worth all the attention? In this video we will look at its stats and features and hopefully answer the question of, is it worth unlocking?

In todays devblog we are introduced to the AMX 32 105mm, marketed as a faster firing alternative to the AMX 32 120mm, with the slight issue that it appears to have the same firing rate as its harder hitting companion, meaning it is just a slightly inferior tank overall.
Thats not to say its a bad addition, on the contary its good to get more French tanks, but I don't know why it can't just be advertised in that way.
It is possible it will be a lower battle rating vehicle to compensate for this, but I get the feeling it will be a very similar battle rating vehicle and it doesn't explain why the 2 weapon systems advantages and disadvantages are compared so much if they will be fighting different enemies.
Update: As of 09/12/2022 the AMX 32 (105) at battle rating 9.0 does have the same reload rate as the regular AMX-32 at battle rating 9.3, essentially proving that this is just a slightly inferior tank to the regular AMX-32, which does beg the question why Gaijin made a big show of having a faster reload speed.
