While Matthew Steeples does not name me in his post, it does sound like he is describing one of my podcast posts.
Before I start I do like Matthew Steeples and enjoy his posts.
He gives a talk and lists a few things he says I have said, but in truth I do not think I did say or not say what he claims, so I have gone through what he says and I will try to answer his points.
This is part 1 as I used a tiny sd card to record on and it filled without me knowing. I am recording this about 1 am and very sleepy.

I would say he is correct in his observations of Welsh-language road signs are 'unintelligible' and 'potentially dangerous'.
Rather than admit that the Welsh-language is a hobby that a few people are interested in that tend to be the same types who will bore you about trains or the history of coal mines. We have instead pandered to a few people who have clearly no0t much going on and live ion the past and now in you drive around most Welsh places (presumably 20 miles an hour) you will spend half the time trying to find the English signs as the place is littered with Welsh-language signs for those who have a hobby of the Welsh-language. Indeed why not have signs in Klingon.
