The first time I was in Grants New Mexico with @Liveintheadventure we discovered the mining museum but sadly it was closed when we passed through. While we were in town for the Balloon Fiesta, we made time to swing by Grants again to check out El Malpais and the mining museum. Do note it is a small museum, but it is well worth a visit if you are in the area. When we visited admission was $6 for adults. The underground portion is absolutely amazing and there are audio clips of various miners talking about the equipment shown along with lights to illuminate various items being mentioned. I included a short segment of one of the audio clips, but out of respect to the museum, and those who took time to make the recordings, I am not going to release the full audio.
