Big changes have happened and I feel it is time to share where we are now. We have gone through a major transition and I hope you will continue to follow us along in this new adventure. We originally planned on a commercial to advertise our business. We weren't expecting this short film masterpiece. The work from Adam at FilmGrain Studios went above and beyond our expectations and we are so grateful. Enjoy and come visit us where we will treat you like family.
We reached out to our extended family and friends who are apart of our G Lazy P Ranch Community and asked them to document and share their favorite recipes or traditions with us.
We join my sister Leathra and some of her kids in her kitchen making biscuits and gravy.
Thank you so much for watching and your support!

Sausage Gravy Recipe:
-1 lb breakfast sausage
-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
-2 cups milk half & half, heavy whipping cream, evaporated milk
-Black pepper to taste -
-pinch sugar
1. Brown sausage and season liberally with black pepper.
2. Sprinkle flour over the cooked sausage and stir.
3. Let flour cook for 1-2 minutes and then gradually add milk, stirring as you pour.
4. Bring gravy to a simmer and let thicken.
5. Add a pinch of sugar and continue stirring.
Biscuit Recipe
-3 cups all-purpose flour
-3 tbsp sugar
-1/2 tsp salt
-4 tsp baking powder
-1/2 tsp cream of tartar
-3/4 cup COLD butter
-1 egg
-1 cup whole milk
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. The secret to excellent biscuits is COLD BUTTER. Really cold. Many times the biscuit dough gets worked so much that the butter softens before the biscuits even go in the oven. Try cutting the butter into small pieces and stick back in the fridge pulling out only when ready to incorporate into the dough.
3. Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
4. Use a pastry cutter to cut cold butter into flour mixture. Don't go too crazy here - you want to see small, pea-sized pieces of butter throughout the dough.
5. Add in the milk and egg and mix just until the ingredients are combined. The dough will be sticky but don't keep working it. You should be able to see the butter pieces in the dough.
6. Turn the dough out onto a generously floured surface. Sprinkle some flour on to the top of dough so it won't stick to your fingers and knead 10-15 times. If the dough is super sticky just sprinkle on some additional flour.
7. Pat the dough out to 3/4 - 1 inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter or glass. I ended up with nine this time but depending on who is snacking on biscuit dough, I can get up to 12 biscuits.
8. Place the biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet or parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown on top.
9. For extra deliciousness, brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter.

We get a visit from fellow Youtube family: @LiveThriveBuild. We get to tour their converted passenger van and find out a little bit about the #VanLife. The kids take over the ranch chores and feeding the animals. Also, we give an update on our reunited calf and reveal the name we chose!

Time to move the cattle from one field to the next. We do this to prevent overgrazing and allow the cows the best vegetation possible for their growth.

We go on an adventure after 4 mysterious cows appear in one of the fields when they shouldn't have been there. Was it an abduction? Was it a lapse in parallel dimensions? Or was it Robert can't count properly? Join us on this adventure as we discover the truth about what really happened. Spoiler alert: the fence was broken down.

Life is all about the failures, learning from them, picking yourself back up and trying again. We have had a rough week at the ranch; our beehive was knocked over and a newborn calf was missing for 3 days. We finally got a win that gives us the encouragement to keep pushing ahead. Join us in this video as we show both the good and bad of ranching.

We do some firearm training, go over basic firearm safety and techniques as Shannon shoots a pistol for the first time.
We prepare for all kinds of scenarios and dangers on the ranch. The closest hospital, police or firefighter can be 30 minutes to an hour away. We have to really promote self-sufficiency and be able to handle different scenarios. We have to protect ourselves and our animals against predators.

Just an update on different projects we have been working on around the ranch and fighting against the gale-force winds that are responsible for creating the Pink Coral Sand Dunes that are next door to us. If you are ever interested in experiencing what it is like in the movie Dune, come visit us at the G Lazy P Ranch. Stay tuned to the end featuring a bonus clip of our Rottweiler, Bear, doing what he does best and herding a cow for us.

We take a look at some of the daily chores we do on the ranch. We check the water troughs to make sure they are not frozen. If they are frozen, time to break the ice! We supplement the cows’ diet with hay since there is less vegetation for them to graze on during the winter. We check the water pipes to ensure the main line is not frozen. We try to have the kids help whenever possible.
It is never a dull day at the ranch!
Thank you for watching.
