FEATURING "FLAMING DICK MIKEY" ONE OF THE GREATEST "BUTT TRUMPETTES" in BT history! (A "Butt Trumpette" is anyone who would work with the band to do onstage performance art during our live shows)
The lineup of this show is THE same lineup that made BT's FIRST 7". Lineup: Bianca Butthole (Loud Bass), Sharon Needles (Obnoxious Bass), Marcus Erectus (Drums), Johnny Hostage (Guitar), Thom Bone (Vocal Torture) and our "Butt Trumpette" for the show: Flaming Dick Mikey (Show Stealer).

This aired on EASTER SUNDAY and is one of the strangest news stories I've seen in a long time. This is a gross example of the media trying their best to influence rather than report. Can you spot the oddities in this story? There are plenty. Note: this video contains blatant racial profanity. You have been warned! (Note: Shot from the TV using a Canon 7D and a Rode Stereo Broadcast Mic but otherwise unedited)

The Sea Star is a crab fishing boat that is featured in Season One of the Discovery Channel hit series "The Deadliest Catch" and has since become the "chase boat" for that series. This means that the Sea Star is the boat that "chases" the other boats while loaded with a camera crew in order to help them film the exterior shots of the other boats on the show while they are out to sea. IF YOU ARE IN SEATTLE YOU CAN ACTUALLY TOUR THE SEA STAR WHILE IT IS DOCKED! The current location of the boat is at Dock 9 at Fisherman's Terminal in Ballard. The entrance is literally the first street you can turn west on after the south end of the Ballard Bridge. You can also go to www.seastartours.com or call Mike Day at 206-550-2623 for more information or more specific directions.
ALSO, the Sea Star will be at that location only through September 9th, 2008 because then it will sail to the Boats Afloat Show at Chandler Cove (Lake Union) and will be there from September 10-15. Then it will be back at Fisherman's Terminal on September 21 for the Fisherman's Fall Festival--ONE DAY ONLY, After that, it will then set sail for he Bering Sea to prepare for filming the King Crab season for Deadliest Catch.
UPDATE: Turns out that this may end up being the "pilot" for something bigger! More on that later...
SO GO TOUR THIS BOAT WHILE YOU CAN because you may not get another chance until after the January-March Opilio Season next year sometime! (WATCH THIS AND ALL OF MY VIDEOS IN HIGH QUALITY FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE!)

I cut this off early because it is an old tape and there are some major glitches at the almost 13 minute mark that knocked the audio WAY out of sync. Can I fix it? Yes, of course. But it takes time and I've been up for two days grieving my lost friend Bill. So I am posting what works to my satisfaction for now.
This is never before seen video of one of two shows this band played (according to Kim, who I asked earlier) with the other was at Al's Bar. I might have video of that one too but my archive is huge and I am spun right now and need sleep.
Anyway, Bill (Pat Fear) and Trace (his drummer in White Flag) and Kim and Ronnie of the Muffs (Kim is also in the Pixies now) got together and made a parody 7-inch of the first MUFFS single (which Bill also engineered) for fun. They released it on Sympathy For The Record Industry and to celebrate that, played a couple of shows as the lineup of that record.
The record is considered a classic and until now, I don't think ANY footage of this performance (or any other by this "lineup") has ever surfaced. I don't even think anyone remembered that I videotaped it. Hell, I didn't even remember that I videotaped it until I found it in my archive while I was looking for other White Flag stuff to share. I did book the show though (I was a booker at Raji's then), I remember that much.
Enjoy this footage. It's Bill, Trace, Ronnie and Kim having a great time sharing the stage as friends. It was an honor to witness and yes, I also have the 7". It's great. If nobody posts it or if it isn't posted somewhere yet and nobody minds then maybe I'll do a transfer.
R.I.P. Bill. I'm really upset that you just left like that. Last time I talked with you you told me that you felt like crap but you were "stable". I know, as always, you didn't want people to worry about you. Well, we did anyway and this sucks. But then again, you always were the true friend that was willing to piss me off rather than BS me. I thank you for that.
That's all I got for now. Up for two days grieving and if I don't make sense I don't care right now. I'm uploading this and then going to curl up with my wife and kitty and try to get some sleep.

JuJu Bone, my beautiful purebred chocolate lynx Ragdoll, playing fetch with me (and just being damn cute!) on her "Catnip Palace" -- which is what I call her huge scratcher/tower/perch thing. Chocolate Lynx is a rare pattern of Ragdoll, so enjoy! You don't see this Ragdoll type every day.
