Why is Mom's For Liberty Considered A Controversial Group?
Why are groups like Moms for Liberty viewed as so controversial? We joined our local chapter to see for for ourselves what the fuss was all about. What we found was a warm group of informed parents just looking out for what's best for their children. We have often heard the lament from educators and the like that parents aren't involved enough in their kids education. Parents have gotten more involved and it seems like that is now a problem.
Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters is addressing our chapter on Apr 25 and if you heard about it from some groups on social media you would swear this was clan rally. Folks have said they plan to protest the Superintendent. They have every right to peacefully assemble on public property and have there voices heard. We just found the name calling and rhetoric on social media to be extremely exaggerated with what we saw from the group and Walters himself.
The Woolley's are a family who experienced the tragedy of losing an infant child. After this, they were accused of the most horrific crime someone could be accused of. The legal system turned this family upside down and took everything away from them when they were at the lowest point in their lives. The Woolley's were eventually completely exonerated of these accusations but not before losing their grandson Clayton.
This story is known locally in eastern Oklahoma and serves as an example of a great injustice. The Woolley family sat down with Red River TV to tell there complete story to the world.

The GOP establishment has lost touch with the realities of the everyday people that put them in office and power. Nothing shows that more than the recent re-election of the GOP Chairwoman. We sit down with our special guest David Oldham to get his constitutional perspective.

The 3 trillion dollar stimulus is just as much about voting as it is about anything else. Never let a crisis go to waste. That’s been the mantra of House Democrats during this pandemic. Last week House Democrats introduced and voted on the largest stimulus bill ever in the history of the United States. The bill was DOA in the Senate; it was roundly rejected by Republicans and branded a Democrat wish list. The bill offered a picture of Democrat priorities going into the 2020 election season and beyond.

A bipartisan bill has been introduced that would legalize the sale of raw milk across state lines. The Interstate Milk Freedom Act would change an existing regulation by the FDA that restricts the trade of raw milk between states. The FDA regulation isn't based on any law or legislation it's simply an edict from the unelected bureaucracy of the FDA. The law would would empower the states to make it legal to sell raw milk across state lines.
Speaking about this bill Rep Daniel Webster said “American families can best decide what milk will best serve their sons and daughters," “The FDA has no Congressional directive or safety regulation that justifies interfering in a decision between a consumer and dairy farmer. This is an issue best left up to states and consumers.”
Rep Lloyd Smucker (R) said Raw milk is a niche product highly valued by educated consumers who understand any risks associated with its consumption. This industry is vital economically for many small family farms in my district, who survive and thrive by selling directly to the consumer. Farmers throughout Pennsylvania’s 11th District and the nation work tirelessly to ensure safe, nutritious dairy products are available to everyone,” “Small family farms have been consuming and distributing raw milk safely for hundreds of years. This bill rightly gets the federal government out of the way and decriminalizes farmers and producers who choose to sell or take unpasteurized milk and other dairy products to willing customers throughout the nation.”
The legislation has been introduced a number of times in the past but has failed so far. The bill simply says if two states have legalized the sale of unpasteurized milk, then no federal department, agency, or court may take any action to prohibit or restrict the interstate traffic of milk between those two states.
